I don’t think that is correct. Barry’s mother was only 18 when he was born and I think the Hawaii law at the time was mother has to be something like 21 plus 9 months just to be a citizen, but both parents had to be US citizens to be a Natural Born Citizen from the founders writings. He was definately an Indonesian citizen meaning he had to renounce his US citizenship on adoption. He was influenced by his mother at a young age so I have some sympathy about renouncing US citizenship, but you can’t be a naturalized, natural born US Citizen. It is clear that his allegiances are not with the prosperity of this country so you can see why this requirement was in place.

No state law can remove citizenship from a young woman because she got pregnant or gave birth or an other reason.
Every baby ever born to a US citizen was a citizen at birth.
