Tornado warnings all over NE and NC Mississippi, including this one:

* at 319 PM CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar was tracking
a large and extremely dangerous tornado near Trebloc... or 6
miles east of Houston... moving northeast at 55 mph. This tornado
was reported on the ground southeast of Houston. This is an
extremely dangerous situation. People located in Okolona and Amory
need to take cover immediately.

AT 400 PM EDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR IN PITTSBURGH...SHOWED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING...FROM 2 MILES SOUTH OF SAXONBURG TO 31 MILES SOUTHWEST OF VALLEY FALLS........OR ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 2 MILES SOUTH OF SAXONBURG TO
30 MILES SOUTH OF GRANGEVILLE...MOVING EAST AT 45 MPH.

THESE SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE WIND GUSTS OVER 50 MPH...WHICH CAN RESULT IN BROKEN TREE LIMBS...FLYING DEBRIS...AND POSSIBLY POWER INTERRUPTIONS.

DRIVERS NEED TO TAKE EXTRA CARE AS THE WINDS CAN AFFECT STEERING...PARTICULARLY OF HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. THE FAST WINDS ARE FROM THE SOUTH SO THIS CAN CAUSE A CROSS WIND ON HIGHWAYS ORIENTED WEST TO EAST LIKE INTERSTATE 70 AND THE PENNSYLVANIA TURNPIKE.

TWO Tornados cut through the center of Colman, Alabama, at the same time. Pictures and video all over the net of them. Birmingham TV was showing them live.

Live in NE Alabama near Georgia. We had a huge wind even at 6-7 a.m. this morning. Hundreds of trees down, power lines, houses damaged, in our community. I think a small tornado went through. The trees look twisted and a lot were topped off. Our road is covered with power lines. We got power back on our end of the road at 2 pm. Lost it around 7 this morning. Our church had several huge trees get knocked down. Just heard on Channel 33/40 that a large church in Cullman, AL was totally destroyed eariler. Going to be an exciting night.

James Spann, the 33/40 weather guy, who has been around here for 32 years or more, said earlier that in all that time, this is one of 3 or 4 times that it is going to be DANGEROUS, very dangerous conditions and possible storms. He said this could be bad.
