Palin on Trump-Obama-Birther Controversy.....(Transcript)
http://www.foxnews.com ^ | April 26, 2011 | Sarah Palin & Greta Van Susteren

Posted on 04/27/2011 3:13:02 PM PDT by Clyde5445

VAN SUSTEREN: All right, you talk about out of office -- let me ask you about 2012, not about you specifically. I may get to that. I don't know. But in terms of (INAUDIBLE) I'm sure you've seen all the controversy surrounding Donald Trump. What do you think about Donald Trump?

PALIN: I respect what he's doing in putting his money where his mouth is. He's actually investigating his speculation there on Obama's birth certificate and Obama's college records and all those things that Obama, though he promises to be a transparent official, he certainly isn't because he could certainly reveal many of these documents and put many of these issues to rest.

But here's -- here's the point with Donald Trump, though, which I hope that he will seize this opportunity. Right now, he's got the spotlight. He's got the megaphone. Now is his opportunity to really force a shift in debate and discussion in this country, get his media friends or his media enemies to really start listening to the other issues that Donald Trump really wants to talk about, and that is the high cost of fuel, that is our relationship with China. That is the bankruptcy road that we are on and what we can do to get off that road. Those things that Donald Trump can talk about I really hope that the media will start shifting with him now that he has the megaphone and the spotlight to the more important, very, very important issues.

It sounds like Palin is endorsing Trump.

Didn’t she always say she’d run unless someone stepped up that she considered worthy? (That’s an extremely loose paraphrase, so forgive me if you can’t find that exact quote someplace.)

I listened to Trump’s press conference today, and he controlled it. He put the news pukes in their places. He even asked one reporter if the reporter considered himself an intelligent human being. I LOL’d!

No she’s not endorsing Trump. She’s acknowledging he has the spotlight now and is encouraging him to use it to all our advantages.

And I don’t see her ever endorsing his candidacy, given his record, his stated positions and his political contributions.

You can like that he’s taking it to Obama without supporting a presidential run.

Those words are more than an acknowledgement, although they certainly do acknowledge him.

She is encouraging Trump to go get'em.

“She is encouraging Trump to go get’em.”

I agree. But encouraging Trump to keep up the attack does not equate to endorsing a potential candidacy.

For instance, I encourage Trump to keep up the attack and I would never support a presidential run by Trump. Anything that takes Obummer off his stride is a good thing.

I don't know about the rest of you but Sarah Palin IMO is like a professional Musician.

She knows when to relinquish the lead and when to take it back. She's accenting Trump's attacks by acquiescing to him when it's his turn to take the lead.

She's playing GOOD music politically.

Bingo. She doesn;t want the target on her right now and prefers Trump get the spotlight. It was an endorsement of support for being there...not being the front-runner. Big difference.

Sarah knocked it out of the park here imho. BTW...she is the only politician or group on our side that haven’t hit me up for money in the past few weeks! We are getting calls from every tom dick and harry lately! I think I’ll send her a little money tonight just to say thanks for not asking....lol! I’ve heard from Palenty,Gingrich,Huckabee, the NRCC,the Senate republicans, the NRC,and on and on and on! I wish she would go ahead and announce soon. I am ready to jump on her bandwagon! The only candidate that might give her any competition in this house would be Paul Ryan and it doesn’t look like he is running.

Solid clip. On Palin, I respect anyone who prefers a different candidate.... but she’s on my short list, except I think women won’t vote for a woman as president, sadly. But what I don’t get is thinking she is stupid. She sees exactly what Trump can do, while the big-brained Rove and Krauthammer and so many others are lost in the mists. Palin gets it.

Trump has “a microphone” i.e. the ability to penetrate the media’s shields & bubble. Trump could be a huge gift, not as the eventual nominee but as a guy who slaps the patient out of their hypnotized stupor.

“like a professional Musician”

More like a point guard, distributing the ball. That cannot be taught, and most of the conservative world cannot even SEE what she is doing. I am stunned, because Palin is ROCKING and her support of Trump is pitch-perfect. Oops, I slipped back into the music metaphor.

This whole BC thing is a put up.  A Fairy Tail!

It's a slight of hand and there is no reason to have not put an original copy of his Long Form Birth Certificate out there in the 1st place.

But, think of it.  There are three that are known to exist or have existed and has at least two in his possessoin:

The Birth Certificate that was submitted for his admission into the Hawaiian school system.  The files containing that BC and his records for immunization are sealed by court order on MuBarak's requrest.

"If" he used an American Passport for travel to Indonesia and Pakistan, when he turned 18, he would have a copy of his birth certificate from that event.

He absolutely has a Birth Certificate, in it's original black & white format, that "He Found" Among His Mother's belongings, when she passed in 1995.

I do wonder if he had to submit another BC when he returned back to the Hawaii school system to re-enter school???

Let them claim there is no long form.

1st.  They and everyone has said all along the COLB is an abstract.  A COLB is a walkup document, meaning you can walk up to the desk, ask for your BC and they will provide an abstract, called a COLB in about 10 minutes.  That means there is a long form and Hawaii statutes, starting at (318)

2nd.  Hawaii already said they have seen Barry O.'s vital records and issued two statements - blah, blah, blah, right?

3rd.  Barry O. never had to show his long form BC ever, in his life, for anything?  Like obtaining a passport.  That one document is better than a drivers license.  It saying to the world you are who is contained in the passport document, which is based on an investigation of your background and YOU MUST provide a Birth Certificate as foundational proof of who YOU say you are.  From there the State Department does their background check on you and if you are who you say you are with no ammendments, modifications or whatever to your identity they issue it clean.

Most adults can go to a desk or filing cabinet in his house and produce a birth certificate in a few minutes?

Barry O. tried to pass of something that was inconsistent with what the rest of have and know to be a “Birth Certificate”.

The so called COLB has many flaws with it:

  • His father’s race could never have been listed as “African”.  That was not the nomenclature at all, in the 1960’s.  So that begins the suspicion of a fraudulent document.
  •  The COLB is also cropped in many of the pictures that claim it is a scan.  If it is a scan, why not leave the document and size intact?
  • The COLB also has no artifacts such paper folds.  A scan does not make those disappear and in fact will highlight them.
  • The COLB that is scanned mysteriously does not show the Seal of Hawaii.  Why?  Because it was computer generated and not scanned.  Guess they forgot to add that back in.
  • More over, many of us are concerned and want to know why he wasted time producing a document that is inconsistent with what we know a Birth Certificate looks like.

The best part and even more confusing is why he didn't release any of the three Birth Certificates we know already existed before 2007.

  • His kindergarten records and the BC, that should be there, have mysteriously disappeared.
  • The BC he used to get into college, apply for loans and most definitely used for his passport. That wasn't available?
  • Why couldn't he just present the one he found among his mother's belongings upon her death.   He waxed on and wondered about it and his father in one of his books.  Why not post that one?

Those were most certainly BC’s and not a COLB. There is no reason to create confusion but, for the fact he is hiding something. That something will be discovered, though and this is a long process.

“I discovered this article, folded away among my birth certificate and old vaccination forms, when I was in high school. It’s a short piece, with a photograph of him. No mention is made of my mother or me, and I’m left to wonder whether the omission was intentional on my father’s part, in anticipation of his long departure. Perhaps the reporter failed to ask personal questions, intimidated by my father’s imperious manner; or perhaps it was an editorial decision, not part of the simple story that they were looking for. I wonder, too, whether the omission caused a fight between my parents.”

From “Dreams From My Father” (Pg. 26 last paragraph)

So with all these Birth Certificates lying around, why did he feel it necessary to produce a "Certification of Live Birth" that is inconsistent with a Birth Certificate and wholly lacking all of the information you would find, in you know, a Birth Certificate?

He seemed to have some emotional attachment to the Birth Certificate found among his mother’s belongings.  Why wouldn’t he just slap that one up, for all the world to see?

It seemed important that he found a document that is called a “Birth Certificate” and it is highly unlikely he would not know what one looks like.

Hope no one brings up some house fire that vaporized his BC.  That was in 1972 and none of the documents listed here would have been affected by that “fishy” event.

The point of the birth certificate is to uncover this man's past for it's factual existence and not the narrative we have been told.

We want to know if he ever traveled, went to school in America, obtained loans, etc in another name or as a foreign student or as a foreigner!!!!

That is what we are after at a minimum.

Finally, there can be no doubt Barak was in fact born with a divided citizenship.  He proudly admits as much.

That means if we were conscripted by draft into the United States Military during a conflict, when he was 18, he could have avoided the draft by simply returning to another country of his citizenship.  We know and he admits he was a citizen of Kenya at the age of 18 so he could have returned with no penalty, to Kenya and not even I would call him a draft dodger if had under those circumstances.

You are wholly one thing or another but not two distinctly different and separate things that conflict with each other's existence.

He was born with a divided allegiance and is "Not a Natural Born Citizen".  Might be a citizen but, he ain't a Natural Born Citizen.

But there really is a difference in what Trump and Palin are saying. Trump is saying OBAMA is the problem, and Palin is still stuck in "policies" are the problem. People don't want to hear that. They KNOW Obama is responsible and want someone with the cajones to attack HIM, not "his policies" or "the issues."

I think this is a two-step by Palin trying to share in Trump's success without ever having to do the heavy lifting of attacking Obama himself.

I think the smart play is to call Obama goofy for withholding it for two years, and moving on to the college records. I’m not saying there is or is not something still there on the BC, but I think the best political move is to ADVANCE!

Zactly!!!

Why did he mess with the American people on this issue and force a decorated Lieutenant Lakin to ask for a court martial as a matter of conscience?

Is is unacceptable that he thinks this covers it. It doesn’t and he let a man lose all he worked for and suffer over this dumb thing.

No one hounds you for money like Michele Bachmann. I adore the woman and agree with her 95%+ of the time but have stopped contributing.

Yep..we have gotten lots of phone calls from her folks ever since we gave during her re=election campaign. It must work though, because she has raised a whole lotta dough. We are just sick of it all right now. It’s too much! Every night we get about 3 or 4 calls from one candidate or group or another. Palin is the only one we haven’t heard from, which probably means the pubbie elites haven’t shared the republican lists with her like they have with everyone else. It makes me dislike the republican elites even more.
