Another liberal woman, completely in denial regarding the reality of life for a woman living under Muslim rule.

She believed most of the stories about muslim abuse were just scary tales made up by mean spirited right wingers to steal votes from “progressive” candidates.
I bet she still believes it.
She isn’t a journalist. She’s just an AA hire with a face and body that those hiring knew would be appealing on television.
I just think it was idiotic for them, or anyone, to be so close to the mob in the first place. A mob that size and so energized can be a very unpredictable thing.
Could be she wanted to get a bird's eye view of the story, or maybe even be a part of the story. But I still believe she saw herself as being immune to real danger.
Might be similar to the Daniel Pearl situation. Do you think that Daniel thought it very likely that he was going to be beheaded? I think not, I'm sure he felt some degree of danger but nothing close to what happened. >> I did not malign her in any way.

For me, domestic politics ends at the water’s edge. Unfortunately, our political adversaries seem to disagree.
