To say Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged is not a good as Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World is kind of like saying C.S. Lewis’ Narnia is not as good as J.R.R. Tolkein’s Lord of the Rings; that Mickey Mantle wasn’t as good as Babe Ruth; or, that Farah Fawcett was not as beautiful as Whitney Houston. It’s not bad to win the silver medal. But, since we’re really talking about the movie adaptation of Atlas Shrugged, a better comparison would be Part 1 to the movies 1984 and Brazil.

BTW My own favorite writer in the genre of dystopian future is Robert Heinlein.

How about Battlefield Earth? How does Atlas Shrugged stack up against that?

BTW My own favorite writer in the genre of dystopian future is Robert Heinlein.

Ah yes, he was a friend of Hubbard's.
