More info in AZCentral article but can't post. I have to question whose side she is on. Has Obama threatened her?

I don’t blame her for this. A lot of governors would not want to mess with their own state’s Dept. of Insurance and all the laws that encompass their own state’s health insurance laws. It is a can of worms she probably did not want to open.

I have to question whose side she is on... Considering that those two prinicples lay at the core of health insurance reform I don't find that question of o line.

She wants to run for US Senate and it looks like the current US Senate RINOs have gotten a hold of her.

I have to question whose side she is on.

She's not a real conservative.

She pushed a State sales tax increase about 18 months ago.

She endorsed McCain against Hayworth in the 2010 Senate primary.

“Brewer says she vetoed the bill Thursday partly because of a provision added late in the legislative process. That provision would have allowed insurers licensed by Arizona to drop specific mandated coverage if an out-of-state company doesn’t provide the mandated coverage in a policy issued in Arizona.

Brewer also says she has concerns about whether Arizonans would have adequate recourses if mistreated by out-of-state insurers.”

Currently, Arizona’s health insurance companies are a government-created cartel, shielded from out-of-state competition by protectionist legislation. Combined with heavy legislative coverage mandates, the result is higher premiums for health insurance plans, which then cause consumers on the margin to become uninsured.

Senate Bill 1593 would allow Arizona health insurance consumers to shop for regulated health insurance plans offered in other States. Unfortunately, Arizona’s health insurance companies are lobbying very hard to protect their cartel against the competition that would be unleashed by SB 1593.

And to think I voted for this ditz’s tax increase. When you get down to it, for all their brave conservative talk, where the rubber meets the road, most GOP elected official’s are dem lite RINOs in their heart of hearts.

I wish Sheriff Joe had run for gov here in AZ. But I think we have an up and coming real conservative politician in Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu. No mushy mouth platitudes from him, just a proven track record of taking no prisoners.

I don’t know about this one but I do know that a lot of horrible “riders” have been thrown into a lot of bills here of late and (so far) she’s been hesitant to sign the omnibus version of certain bills because of one or a few garbage riders.

I’m hoping that’s the issue here.
