Yearn for a conspiracy theory uniting Obama and the royal wedding? Yearn no more
The Australian ^ | April 30, 2011

Geoffrey Robertson in Fairfax's National Times yesterday:

It is an open secret at the Commonwealth Secretariat that they do not want Charles III to be the next head of the Commonwealth when the Queen retires -- they are looking for someone more inspiring. Mandela, once the favourite candidate, is now too old. But there is an even better candidate whose name is being mentioned as an alternative to Charles in due course, namely ex-President Obama, with his Kenyan ancestry (as some believe, Kenyan birth). There are rumours that the palace's refusal to invite him to the wedding was neither oversight nor overslight but a fear that Barack and Michelle would appear to the "black Commonwealth" as superior to Charles and Camilla as future leaders of the Commonwealth.

Rightio.

It would not have been appropriate for King Wee Wee of Kenya to upstage Wills and Kate

They weren’t invited because the Monarchy would have never survived another Moochelle fashion faux pas.

Never thought I’d rather see Charles get a job, but...I please!

Well, I think it is true that few people would want Prince Charles to rule the Commonwealth. What a jerk he is.

But the rumors also suggest that the Palace has made a deal with Prince Charles to quietly refuse the crown, so it can be passed on to William when the Queen dies.

The whole point of the current arrangement is that the head of the Commonwealth is SUPPOSED to be a figurehead, not a politician. She or he is an image around which the commonwealth nations can maintain a degree of unity, without any pretense of political control.

Charles would be a pretty sad sack image, but William would do the job fine.

As to why they didn’t invite Michelle and Bammy to the wedding, at least two reasons:

1. They were exceedingly rude when they visited the Queen.

2. Their security requirements would have wrecked the entire wedding.

LOL! This isn't really meant to be serious, is it?

“I would rather be ruled by HRH than the 0bamas anyday.”

Not much difference,,, both are first class leftists with a huge sense of entitlement.

I think i’ll settle for a Reagan.

I think that the release of the long form was Obama’s last ditch effort to get an invite.

Seriously. Obama is incapable of any real conspiracy. He's just not that bright. Intellectuals must be secretly disgusted by him.

HA!!!

I hadn’t even thought of that. Can you imagine? Like when they went to India, or wherever it was, where they had to take the coconuts out of the trees even!

Anyone notice that apart from the Royal Family many of the dignitaries and other guests traveled in a group of minibuses to the abbey? Imagine the blowup if the zeroes were told they had to use a minibus.

Maybe they lacked boob belts, but there were plenty of fashion faux pas present in the Abbey!
