NATO doesn't do squat without White House approval.
This is just Obama throwing more “friends” under the bus again.

Innocent children (G’Daffy’s grandchildren — but still innocent children) were killed in NATO’s recent targeted assassination attempt on G’Daffy); and we're supposed to be surprised that NATO members’ embassies attract angry mobs.
The UN mandate was to do what's necessary to protect innocent civilians in Libya. It seems that the best thing NATO could do for these innocent civilians is leave.

Look, I have no sympathy for Gadhafi, but you can't keep trying to kill a guy and complain when he fights back. These childish claims that we're not really trying to kill him, just blow up everything around him are not fooling anybody.

Why didn’t the rebels protect our embassy?
I read that they walk on water just like our very own Dear Leader.

“State Department spokesman Mark Toner said. “If true, we condemn these attacks in the strongest possible terms.”
No you don’’t Mr Toner! The strongest possible terms is to issue Marines live ammo and allow them to protect the U.S. Embassy as the duty they were sent there to do!
