According to U.S. officials, two U.S. helicopters swept into the compound at 1:30 and 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Twenty to 25 U.S. Navy Seals under the command of the Joint Special Operations Command in cooperation with the CIA stormed the compound and engaged Bin Laden and his men in a firefight, killed Bin Laden and all those with him.

Bin Laden couriers were killed, as was one of Osama Bin Laden's son, as was a woman reportedly used as a shield by one of the men.

Other women and children were present in the compound, according to Pakistani officials, but were not harmed. U.S. officials said that Bin Laden himself did fire his weapon during the fight.

Starting with the Chicoms late last night and continueing to this minute the news flaks all keep saying Bin Laden’s country hut had no communications, no phone no internet, etc. I just recorded, to make sure I was seeing what I was seeing, a FOX segment w/Catherine Herridge describing some actual pics of the compound. There is a power line going right by that clearly has at least one phone-sized conductor on it. The side of a portion of the building shows a substantial electrical harness. Most importantly there is a 12 foot SATELLITE DISH on a low portion of the building. Are these people blind, stupid, ignorant ( optional ) ??? and what would the purpose be in ignoring a SATTELITE DISH in the flaming yard? Maybe it’ll take a few days for them to acknowledge virginboy wasn’t really an actual hermit? He must have been able to , oh, I dunno, bank online?

My wife was surfing last night when word got out so we immediately went to the coverage.

I agree Barry deserves some credit for allowing the mission to happen. But does anyone think this ever would have happened if Barry had been president on 9-11? He never would have fought the Afghan war. We'd still be conducting "diplomacy," applying "pressure" and holding Security Council meetings to try to get the Afghans to extradite OBL.

If Osama bin Laden is indeed dead, I think tax-payers deserve genuine proof of his demise.

Mussolini, Che, Saddam...we all have proof of their end. What does this Administration do? They genuflect even to OBL's corpse. Talk of a big "firefight" with Navy SEALS so the "Arab Street" knows their hero went down fighting among the best we have. Burial in the Arabian Sea so no Muslim sensibilities are offended. A big midde-finger and no proof to the American tax-paying public.
