Have you seen proof of OBL death? Please direct me to the site if there is proof positive.

This is so unfair. After all, he made it a full 4 words into his speech before he said “I”, and that “I” was only to make sure everybody watching new that the words he was saying were coming from HIS Mouth, and weren’t from a ventriloquist or new audio-enabled tele-prompter (”I can report” — seriously, who wrote this?)

He didn’t actually take personal credit for killing Osama until like the 6th paragraph, after he had recounted the history of the last decade for us (well, history as “we” had perceived it, which itself could be a form of personalization with the twist of asserting that everybody agrees with him — a trick he uses a lot).

Then he was ready to describe what happened, and of course, it all starts with “I” : “And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta”.

After that, it’s typical Obama “I was briefed”, “I determined”, “I met repeatedly”, “at my direction”,

There isn’t going to be any Jukeman...we know this now...there’s no body.... if they indeed dumped it already. Everything else can be manufactured to appear as proof.

The fact they hurried this along creates doubt...and the Islamic tradition adhearance nobody cares about....the American people want proof...Dna is not conclusive...we want the body and various forensic eveidences done by many. That is noraml prodical on something this huge...but then we have a public who gets fired up once Obama pushes the students to gather in Washington and the media to push his story.

Now the American people will “feel” good....(He likes to play with peoples emotions)...and the truth will be hidden as usual...... the Pied Piper is Pippping!

BTW, contrasting Obama’s “I can report”, look at the first line from Bush’s speech announcing the capture of Saddam Hussein:

“Good afternoon. Yesterday, December the 13th, at around 8:30 p.m. Baghdad time, United States military forces captured Saddam Hussein alive.”

In Bush’s speech, he also used the word “I”: “I have a message for the Iraqi People”, “I thank the members of our Armed Forces and I congratulate ‘em”, “I also have a message for all Americans”.

Not one word taking personal responsibility for the war, for the military action, for the capture. Bush minimized his personal connection to things.

In fact, even the “Mission Accomplished” wasn’t about Bush — he said the MILITARY on that ship had accomplished their mission. It was democrats who denigrated our military by insisting they hadn’t accomplished anything.

Given that war is another form of political activity we have seen an other opening step in Obama’s reelection campaign.

If you take a very close and well researched read of the Tehran Hostage Crises of 1979-1981 you will similar political calculation employed by Jimmy Carter. This time it happened before the Presidential Primary season started, not after.

Don't get me wrong - the killing of bin Laden is a positive event. I am just complaining that he will become a very politicized event when it shouldn't.

It’s not...do your homework..it’s pretty much a given the photos are fake.

Keep in mind the photos of Saddams sons were gone over many times....along with photos of the guys doing the examinations etc. Lots of evidence to prove it was who said it was.

There’s nothing much at all here except Obamas word...and tossing the body into the sea only raises further doubt.

Right there with ya’. This is real quick, real strange, and too loud. And, I don’t think any Freeper or any other American can be chastised for being skeptical of anything coming so lightning fast out of the WHITE House. Hope and pray everything is exactly as it is being portrayed, just wonder.

I wonder whether under Bush, the U.S. would have even announced killing Bin Laden. Announcing it to the world does nothing but make a martyr of him.

He inherited the War on Terror from the previous administration.

The only budget BO has taken an ax to is the Defense Dept., just as every Democrat president has done, but he will milk this military success for all it is worth. And his lapdogs in the media will paint him as FDR II all the way to the 2012 election. All the while, our military families continue to qualify for food stamp. What a shame.

Of course. If it had been 2007, Bush could've never buried Osama at sea without being excoriated. He'd be lambasted for violating Pakistan airspace, for going in unilaterally, you name it.

Obama can do no wrong. Bush could do no right. Even when having precisely the same policy!

In a matter of a week, the most “taboo” (for lack of a better word) subjects in America have been “clarified” or “put to rest”...the BC and OBL.

No, that doesn’t seem convenient at all.../s

Both your posts are spot on.

The man is despicable, as well as his MSM cheerleaders.

“I wonder whether under Bush, the U.S. would have even announced killing Bin Laden.”

I know one thing. You would have not seen hundreds of Howard University students celebrating with freshly printed Bush signs in front of the white house - 20 min after the announcement.

The only positive thing that obama did was not to cancel the order that President Bush gave to “get ben laden”

There are definitely terrorist attacks coming down the pike, but the preparations for the attacks surfaced right after the Nov election.

The claims that are going to be made that the attacks are retaliation for bumping off the Bin is going to be nothing but pure BS.

They first tried setting it up to spin that Qaddafi was going to be behind the attacks.

For now, I'll take the government's word for it that they really killed Osama and buried his body at sea.

If not, in a week or two there may be a video out there with Osama holding up a newspaper which has a headline reporting his own death...a Harry Truman/Chicago Tribune moment.
