I agree. The people in front of the White House last night were kids looking for a party, and texting their friends to come.
The Seals are to be congratulated. The East Room solo walk by Obama to make the announcement was supposed to be Presidential, I assume, but I thought it looked ridiculous. The speech itself was pretty decent, although there were far to many I said/I did/I authorized in it.
I did find it interesting that CNN was trying very hard not to make this political (or at least trying to appear not to)

I do not think that this will do a whole lot for Barky. Once people have to buy gas and groceries this week the euphoria will be gone.
Reagan wasn’t yet president when the hostages were released. As they were being released, he was being sworn in at the same time. News channels were switching back and forth between the two live events.
