I used to do DNA ID typing for the federal CODIS database.
Two months (8 weeks) is just silly. That may be the time it takes a backlogged lab to get to the sample you submitted for paternity testing or whatnot - a priority sample can be processed in one working day or less.
Running the PCR on a fleck of DNA from blood takes only a few hours - running the DNA out on a gel takes only a few more hours - and analysis can take less than 10 minutes - but I bet they took at LEAST 20 minutes to make sure on THIS one.
In other words, if you gave me the right equipment and the DNA sample of OBL and the reference sample from his sister - I could tell you if the guy was the sibling of the sister in a single working day - or less.
So color yourself better informed.
What about false positives? What is the percentage of those?
This sister reportedly had several dozen siblings, OBL being one of them.
The body was flown “out to sea” not likely just minutes away. And any analysis takes “a working day or less” (your words). There aren’t enough minutes available in the time line presented to make a definitive identification of the dead body.
Add to this, there were NO bodyguards, no security present at the compound beside the tall walls surrounding the buildings. And, on top of everything, the body was dumped ASAP. The Mob isn’t this efficient in spinning a story.
I want to believe OBL was killed by US forces, but I would like to see proof, I will not take the word of this man in the white house that is running a political campaign.
