DEVELOPING: Usama bin Laden was given a religious funeral prior to his burial at sea, senior military officials told Fox News.
Religious rites were conducted on the deck of the USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier at about 1:10 a.m. Monday in the Persian Gulf.
In accordance with Islamic practice, bin Laden was washed and wrapped in a white sheet before buried at sea at 2 p.m. local time, senior U.S. military and intelligence officials said.

The fact they rushed to dispose of the body (if they ever really had it) and did any type of Islamic burial rites over it makes me believe this is all a bunch of BS.
With Obama’s poll number tanking and the Democrats numbers doing the same, I feel this lie is just to help Obama and his liberal party win the 2012 elections. Why not bring the body back and have it carefully examined and the identification verified 100%?
It just seems odd to me that this news comes out right after Barry’s BC was released (which appears to be as fake as this killing of OBL is). I don’t believe anything this administration tells us.
This doesn’t pass the smell test. Nothing about Barry does.
I guessed 3 AM in another thread reply, so am off by just 1 hour. We should expect this to have occurred in the dark of night. They just didn’t write “3 AM” into the script because it reminds people of the “3 AM” phone call chatter. I suspect we’re never going to see the COLD (Certificate Of not-so-Live Death).
Every report I’ve seen said that the other four people killed in the raid (Obama’s son, two people who owned the house, and a woman that was used as a human shield) had their bodies left behind. Only OBL’s corpse was taken.

If we can share a video of the funeral of the Soviet submariners recovered by the Glomar Explorer, surely we have video of this and it should be released. Especially if bacon was involved.
So this admin thinks bin Laden was a good Muslim? Does it think Hitler was a good Christian too?

(I don’t even know what a yardarm is, BTW, except that apparently they used to hang pirates from them and use them as windchimes or something.)

I am sure he got respectful burial at sea with all the religious traditions intact. With a white sheet wrapped around his body and Koran in hand, he was gently lowered into the sea. I am sure he had a Muslim Imam blessing the body and providing a service to make sure that Osama can enter Jannah (their Heaven).
All this bought and paid for by the United States government is beyond reproach! This is after the president’s words of Osama not being representative of Muslims, but a killer of Muslims (this made me cringe that he had to go out of his way to be politically correct). Obama has to ruin everything, he just can’t man up and do something right.

Obama is insane. I think that too many joint chiefs were advising we had to get him that Obama could not refuse without looking odd. I also think that his chief of staff told him if he did this he would be re elected and go up in the polls.
So Obama did this for political reasons therefore ordering this hit and then giving the man a funeral.
It is nuts. You don’t negotiate nor honor a terrorist. Obama honored him with a funeral. Imagine the Islamic military chaplains face when he was ordered to give OBL a “funeral.”
Sorry but I think OBL was thrown over a dinghy after serum and pictures were taken.
WHY was news saying last night the US had OBL’s body?
Bury him in the bottom of a public port-a-potty somewhere near Ground Zero.
That was my thought. A burial site would become a shrine. Anyway, they said on the radio that it was difficult to find a country that would accept his body, and they only have 24 hours to bury him.
How much information do we have to give out?
Followed by an immediate purge of the carrier’s sewage system?

I don’t think bringing this “not a muslim leader” home for a positive ID and secretly disposing of the body would’ve been very difficult for the military to do at all.
