In recognition of Our Fearless Leader, who planned and executed this operation all by himself, it’s obvious the codename for Obama should have been “ArnoldPalmer” or “Tiger”

I agree with them. Geronimo was an honorable man.

Geronimo was not the code word for Osama, it was the code word to acknowledge that the target had been eliminated.
In WWII it was the code word for jumping out of airplanes.
Somehow American Indians had thicker skin in the 1940's

Isn’t a codename supposed to bear no relation to and give no indication of its real meaning? There is no association that is supposed to be made. Getting offended by its use here is akin to being offended by a random two-word key combination on one of those CDs that AOL used to send out.

If you don't like it here then you can go back to Asia where you came from.

Well, they could have used Quanah Parker or Sitting Bull, I guess.
I like Geronimo better, sounds manly. I mean some SEAL yelling “Quanah Parker” of “Sitting Bull” is gonna hear it from his mates. He’d sound like that little wiggler Bruno on DWTS.

And we did kick their ass repeatedly.

Think of the outcry if they had used any other ethnic groups hero, the Onondaga Council of Chiefs said in a release Tuesday. Geronimo bravely Dude, so sorry. We had no idea Geronimo was an Onondaga. . . He wasn't? Then what the #$$%& business is it of yours?
To: Behind Liberal Lines
Funny that the Apache didn’t speak up on this.
I can just imagine the Onondaga uproar if the operation were named “Tadodaho.”
To: Behind Liberal Lines
Bunch of sexist chiefs! “Pocahontas” is the best-known Indian name. How many Disney cartoons have been made about Geronimo?
To: Chief Wah Wah
BOO!
To: Behind Liberal Lines
Geronimo was Apache. Why are the Sioux complaining?
