You never really understand just how strong these dogs are until you have to wrestle them! My goodness they are STRONG. The funny thing is you know they are still holding back their strength, too. After the bath, they feel so GOOD.

What a good doggie! He/she is just looking at you and saying, “can I have bubbles, too?” It makes me laugh at how they run around afterward because they feel so GOOD that they are clean. Very, very handsome GSD.

Man, it sure is somethin' how repellent clean water is to the beasties!
I don't think I've ever given the current two a whole bath complete with suds. They've certainly had spot cleanings. A roll in nasty, smelly stuff or getting muddy usually results in an impromptu dousing of cold water from the spigot!

From the photo it looks like a tandem harness. That keeps the handeler and the dog together for when they get down.
I believe she was asking about when they jump solo.

Thank you. Unfortunately, she is "incorrigibly" allergic, per dermatology vets, since birth. We fight with $$$$$$$$ and effort every month to control her problems.
Tara has always been quite submissive and does what you want (that coupled with her excitement over people makes her a favorite of all the vets). So, she's always acquiesced to the weekly bathing although I could say she's just been well-practiced in baths since she was 2 (she's 9 on Saturday).
With my ~1yo son 2 years ago.

I believe she was asking about when they jump solo. The dogs jump solo? Who is going to steer the 'chute on the way down? Who is going to release the 'chute on landing?
There doesn't seem to be much sense in tossing a dog out of the airplane on his own and leaving his landing site up to the vagaries of the local weather.

Um, you do know that an unmodified T-10 is a non steerable chute, right? We’ve made millions of jumps with those, and still do.

Um, you do know that an unmodified T-10 is a non steerable chute, right? Weve made millions of jumps with those, and still do. Back in the 60's, when SEAL teams were being formed, the Paracommander was the hot parachute replacing the modified (steerable) T-10s being used by UDT, EOD, and SEALs at the time. Not to mention the upgrades since then. Would it make any sense for them go back to unmodified T-10s?
