Say Anything Blog goes on to point out that Congressman King still stands by the position that this beginning info came from those waterboarding moments. However, even if we accept the liberal spin, Say Anything goes on to point out the following:
But really, this is all a moot point. Even it we stipulate that waterboarding, or enhanced interrogation techniques, had nothing at all do to with KSM giving up key details which lead to bin Ladens capture the intelligence was still gathered at facilities (Guantanamo Bay and the CIA prisons in Europe) Obama wanted shut down.
No matter how this is spun, the reality of how the intelligence which brought down bin Laden was gathered is a black eye for President Obama and the liberals who spent years campaigning against the very policies which made that intelligence gathering possible.

Who knew that Leon Panetta was made of such stern stuff? Obviously, not BO or he would never have appointed Panetta CIA chief.
Panetta's statements regarding the purpose of the mission (to kill OBL) and that water boarding was used successfully to obtain the needed intel certainly contradicts positions Obama has taken in the past.
Didn’t BO demean and insult the CIA under Panetta some time back? I can’t remember what it was about, but seem to remember Panetta being furious and defending his employees. Maybe if so, this is Panetta’s revenge moment.
Digby: 60% of US Teens Believe Torture Is OK(DU post with unhappy comments)
LOL!!
Maybe the crop of kids just younger than the 2008 Obamamaniacs are not as stupid.
You're right - that's a gem of a link - thanks.
How about the comments? Except for few real nutcases , or those that feel the police target them personally as minorities, I have met few people that have sympathy for the terrorists regarding interrogation. The kids ~ 25 I talk to may buy socialism (it's simple to understand on the surface) but they have no sympathy for terrorists. call them the '24-Jack Bauer' generation.
I visited my college alumnus a few weeks ago and discovered there wasn't a peep out of them over the "rush to war" to Libya without congressional approval. Wish I had written a letter to the editor comparing the liberal academia's selective outrage in Spring '03 (when I was a senior in college, at the start of the Iraq War) compared to Spring '11. Apparently it's now OK for a "chickenhawk" President to have a "War of choice" against evil Mideast dictators who never attacked us. Funny how these things are only bad when the President has a "R" next to his name. Of course, it will all ignored with them focused on how Obama "got Bin Laden when Bush couldn't". Yet we all know if the Bin Laden kill had happened on Bush's watch, they would have screamed about how engaging in political assassinations is against the Geneva convention and Bush is a war criminal who is turning the middle east against us, blah blah blah. A.N.S.W.E.R. would be in the streets by the thousands right now, demanding Bush get indicted for war crimes for killing Bin Laden when he was unarmed.
Another freeper said it best, if it weren't for double standards, the left would have no standards at all.
Ten year olds are very impressionable - 9/11 hit them big - those kids are 20 today... They'll start voting in large numbers in a few years - and they won't vote the 'code pink' way. It's going to be interesting.
Most anti-Americans are aging hippies - the young aren't following them...
