"will cover the entire lawn of Planned Parenthood with white sheets, a longtime symbol of the KKK"
In a press conference held on Saturday, Christian Defense Coalition Director Rev. Patrick Mahoney the anti-abortion activist behind last months KKK-invoking rally in front of House Speaker Rep. John Boehners office announced that he is starting a national campaign called Defund Klanned Parenthood. #
A press release circulated by Mahoney last week says the group will also stage a protest outside a Planned Parenthood in Washington, D.C., and as part of their public witness against the racist roots of Planned Parenthood, they will cover the entire lawn of Planned Parenthood with white sheets, a longtime symbol of the KKK. #
Pro-choice groups, such as NARAL, have called rhetoric that links race to abortion rates racist. #
Ironically, Mahoney said in a statement that the anti-abortion movement should work to have Congress defund Planned Parenthood because Planned Parenthoods roots are racist, bigoted and extremist: #
We are launching Defund Klanned Parenthood to expose the reality that Planned Parenthood founder, Margaret Sanger, was a racist who supported the agenda of the Ku Klux Klan, spoke at their events and wanted to reduce the number of African-Americans. #
Our tax dollars should be given to groups that have embraced human rights, equality and justice for all. They should not be given to organizations founded by racists who embraced the agenda and philosophy of the KKK. #
This push among in the anti-abortion movement linking race to abortion rates is seeing a rise in popularity. #
Anti-abortion messaging on billboards aimed at the black community, which state that the most dangerous place for an African American is in the womb, have been seen all over the country and have even made their way to Florida. The movement now includes influential anti-abortion groups, like the Family Research Council. #
Just last week, a Florida representative made reference to this movement during debate over the Parental Notification for Abortion bill on the house floor. State Rep. John Julien, D-North Miami Beach, urged the legislature to acknowledge that abortion is a genocide of the unborn. #

ping!
Thanks for the ping.
Founded on racism, and carried out today on that same foundation of racism.
I think this is racist because it makes it seem that it’s only important that black babies not be aborted. White babies get aborted too,but that doesn’t seem to matter as much. Please don’t try to justify ignoring the abortion of white babies by saying that percentage wise in the population, more black babies get aborted. It’s just as tragic,as horrible,as genocidal, that white babies get aborted too. Anybody who wants to call me a racist for saying this can KMA!
Love it! Turn about is fair play.

But...I thought PP wasn’t about race?
Diago has not ignored the abortion of any babies, but it appears you have. Diago has a long history of defending babies of all races against abortion. You have a long history (relative to your noob status) of taking sides on the topic of racism, rather than objecting to it. And you have no noticeable presence in the pro-life movement here.
So I'm sure you'll understand why nobody here takes your whining to heart.
Shhh. Pointing out racism is now considered racist. Killing black babies isn’t racist, as long as white babies are part of the collateral damage. Or maybe it’s not racist simply because black babies don’t count. I’m not sure. But telling the truth about it is racist. Just ask any white supremacist.

It's bizarre.

I don't know. It's baffling. Where were they before this latest strategy by pro-lifers?
There will ALWAYS be pro-lifers who resist posting graphic images of abortion and there will always be some who demand an exception for rape; however, this new crowd seems to want to argue that only white babies count.
**********************************
How does that make us racists?
Pro-lifers have to follow this lead. Any time we mention Planned Parenthood, we must include the phrase “which was founded by racist Margaret Sanger who once spoke at a Ku Klux Klan rally.”
Akron Al! How have you been!
I think the Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, Ku Klux Klan link is finally starting to stick! And it should, she admits it in her autobiography. Defund those creeps!
It seems like only yesterday that Registered won the Margaret Sanger Art contest with this one:
Planned Parenthood Founder Margaret Sanger at Ku Klux Klan Rally
