Since the invention of television, has there ever been a successful military mission that was announced that was not followed by a detailed explanation of the mission by a senior member of the Military?

Maybe I missed something, but I have not heard a peep from any military official. The only word we have is what Obama said in his speech and what administration officials have said "on condition of anonymity".

If Osama were reaching for a weapon, there is video evidence of that fact. That could be released. The administration was watching the whole thing unfold (or so they say). That means that Team 6 had video cameras on their helmets. They don't have to show a picture of Osama dead, they can show a picture of him reaching for a weapon.

As I have said before, I believe he was already dead when Team 6 entered the room.

Taking that advice would have been political suicide for him. Were it to become public knowledge that we knew where OBL was, and BHO sat on his hands, and let him perhaps slip away, he could kiss 2012 goodbye.
