Cheese-eating surrender monkeys: Anger grows at Europeans' muted reaction to UBL killing
Daily Mail ^ | 5th May 2011

American bloggers have hit back at Europeans who have criticised the outpouring of joy over the death of Osama Bin Laden. While thousands of U.S citizens took to the streets to celebrate the killing, the reaction in Europe was far more muted. And some are so angered by what they see as a judgmental stance from across The Pond, they have gone online to hit back at the 'cheese-eating surrender monkeys'. Many in Europe have questioned not only the manner of the killing of an unarmed man, but also the taste and dignity of the American public who chanted 'USA' in the streets. Expressing these sentiments is Britain's Archbishop of Canterbury who said: 'I think the killing of an unarmed man is always going to leave a very uncomfortable feeling because it doesn't look as if justice is seen to be done.' However, he went on: 'But I do believe that in such circumstances when we are faced with someone who was manifestly a war criminal in terms of the atrocities inflicted it is important that justice is seen to be served.' When Bin Laden's men flew airliners into New York's World Trade Center 10 years ago, it sparked an outpouring of solidarity from Europe, best captured by a French newspaper headline 'We are all Americans now'. But that solidarity seemingly hasn't

An entire culture so dispirited and moribund that it can't even breed its own replacements any more, and they want to sit in judgment on a competitor that at least still shows signs of national vigor.

Btw the White House astroturf party looked for all the world like what the old Soviets would gin up and report as a "spontaneous demonstration." They had an hour to engineer it, which is probably plenty of time for the facebookies and tweeters to swarm out of their little hives.

I think theres a very good reason for the ‘muted’ response. Its the typical mislead and destined to fail ‘olive leaf’ to the RHs. That is, ‘We’re not happy, please don’t target us!!!’. Little good it did Spain so many years ago to tuck tail and run, they got bombed anyway. In any event despite protestations the euros know they’re going to get a front row seat to the wrath of the RHs over this. Its same story repeated so many times in the recent past, the euros are REALLY slow learners.

That said, the euros had no problem whacking on Libya and it was all about oil too. I suppose we’ll be told thats ‘different’. I wonder if it’ll make the lumps about to be received any less painful?

While thousands of U.S citizens took to the streets to celebrate the killing, the reaction in Europe was far more muted.

I would say that the official response by the USA has also been muted. President Obama refuses to permit a photo of the slain Osama because "that is not who we are." But he does permit the release of thousands of Abu Ghraib photos of "supposed" torture of terrorists.

So the Abu Ghraib Prison photos DO say who we are? Or, is that what this Democrat Administration thinks who we are? A handful of misguided military people say who we are? The so-called "torture" is more like the initiation antics at a fraternity!

Or, do our friends on the other side of the Atlantic pick and choose which story to believe? ... Osama wearing an explosive belt? ...Osama with a room full of weapons? ...Osama trying to surrender peacefully? ...Osama reaching for something in his garb? What are the facts of the matter in connection with Osama? Are there any?

I could care less what the Euros think of us, or the Muslim countries. Bin Ladan got what was coming to him.
Celebrate? Not so much. I shrugged my shoulders and said...one more down. I don’t see this as a huge coup simply because I think he was not as important to their movement as he once was.
As for Obama’s victory tour? Classless as usual. They should have had a high level person from the DOD come out and say simply....we will not give any details but Osama Bin Laden was killed in a raid by troops this morning. Proof of his death to follow.
They should have left it at that instead of creating another dog and pony show.

Why don’t we get to the truth? The only place that happened was outside the WH where the WH set up those to go out and make it look like we were all cheering. UNITY All Praise Obama. What a joke.

Didn’t happen in any other cities other than Obozo supporters in NYC and DC.

Most people probably doubt the whole story. For good reason.

Well, I guess they would have been more grateful if we had captured OBL and released him “somewhere” in Europe???

Maybe we should have left them all alone such that they’d be speaking German today. And, I’ve always said I don’t know why we didn’t leave England for what was to become America earlier than we did.

The EU didn't have 3,000 innocent men, women, and children killed on 9/11/2001 either.

Are you forgetting that UBL staged major attacks in both England and Spain? The Spanish response was caving the next day's election.

I don’t get it - I thought electing Obama was supposed to make the Europeans love us again. Did Katie Couric lie to me again?

Sort of like FDR or LBJ for previous generations. For people from my generation it was Jimmy Carter, which is why we laughed so hard when the townspeople pf Springfield identified him as "History's Greatest Monster."

I must admit, the choreographed Obama Campaign Rally outside the White House on Sunday night struck me as tacky and unseemly too.

I don’t worry anymore about what Europeans think. They used to matter, but now they mean no more to me than Africans, Middle Easterners, South Americans, et al. Just another bunch of foreigners with no values of any worth to me.

As a Christian I did not rejoice at Bin Laden’s death

I'm a Christian, but I rejoiced anyway.

Agreed. No mercy, no consideration, nothing but death for these bastards.

They love death so much, then we ****ing give it to them.

The EU didn't have 3,000 innocent men, women, and children killed on 9/11/2001 either.

You forget that 67 Britons died in the twin towers on 9/11, as well as citizens of other European countries. That's more Britons than the number killed in the subsequent Al-Quaeda bombing of the London tube on 7/7, and more than died in any single incident in the 20-odd years of IRA terrorism in Britain.

We'll keep that in mind as the Muzzies burn your countries down to the ground.
