A Delta Airlines flight from Detroit to San Diegois diverted to Albuquerque, NM, after an unspecified 'security threat' aboard - NBCOrigin is Detroit. That's not good.
A Delta flight en route to San Diego from Detroit was diverted to Sunport in Albuquerque Sunday morning due to a security threat.
Detla officials say flight 1706 landed at Sunport International Airport just before 10 a.m. because the flight crew felt that there was a security threat.
Although at this time officials will not give further details on the type of threat as FBI agents are still investigating.
Sunport officials say the plane has been evacuated and all passengers have been taken to a secure area to be questioned by FBI agents.
Delta released the following statement Sunday morning:
Delta flight 1706, scheduled service from Detroit to San Diego, diverted to Albuquerque out of an abundance of caution due to a security concern. The flight landed safely and Delta is cooperating directly with authorities. Delta's first and foremost priority is the safety and security of our customers and crew. The flight was operated on 737 equipment with 137 passengers and six crew members.

Flight 1706, DTW-SAN was diverted to ABQ for the bomb sweep after a bomb threat was found in the lav.
And a PATH train crashed in NJ this morning. Hoboken station is closed. Train had mechanical problem. It didn’t stop but ran into the concrete abutment.
About 20 people taken to hospitals.

They already have. I flew out of IAD last week. Metal detector, nude scanner and lots of enhanced pat downs. TSA love letter in my luggage.
