Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Saturday that Congress should be responsible for tackling the nation’s illegal immigration problem, not the individual states.

Saying the illegal immigration is down by 36 percent under Obama, Napolitano said, "I think these efforts on a state by state level first of all have predicated a falsity … that there has been nothing done, and that the border somehow is out of control. That is incorrect."

It is the feds' duty to secure the border and they are best equipped to do so, even though they haven't. As to interior enforcement, the states and locals are far better equiped. The feds don't show up at traffic stops, crime scenes, etc. Locals do.
