A senator on Sunday called for a "no-ride list" for Amtrak trains after intelligence gleaned from the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound pointed to potential attacks on the nation's train system.
Sen. Charles Schumer said he would push as well for added funding for rail security and commuter and passenger train track inspections and more monitoring of stations nationwide.
"Circumstances demand we make adjustments by increasing funding to enhance rail safety and monitoring on commuter rail transit and screening who gets on Amtrak passenger trains, so that we can provide a greater level of security to the public," the New York Democrat said at a news conference.

Now Schumer wants no ride lists on trains.
Second piece of data showing they will want TSA controlling train travel.
I stopped reading right there.
Thank goodness the only way to attack a train is via the passengers who board and ride it. Otherwise I’d think any new passenger security measures were a waste of time.
I wonder if there will be even one republican senator who will make that point?

Tampering with train rails has to be addressed with technology and not acres of more higher paid union employees scoping railroad tracks 24/7.

The TSA has done a shirty job at airports. It the citizens that have prevented attacks and not the TSA. Like I said they love to feel up kids, Nuns and the average U.S. citizen, but at the very same time they leave the U.S. borders wide open.
