When I first heard of the OBL burial at sea, this was the first image that came to mind.
I'll bet 99.9% of the people involved wanted to do it this way too. LOL ...

It matters little if they curse Christians and Jews, since their Allah is not the God of the Judeo-Christian world. Perhaps they are praying to one of Satan’s minions, who knows? Iy will avail them nothing towards the afterworld, unless they actually lived a life of goodness and in their ignorance did not come to know the real God. Jesus said he will know his own by their actions.
The Judeo-Christian God is one of power, justice, and mercy.
OBL was not a nice person, and will reap his just reward - not 72 virgins, but perhaps 72 levels of Hell! Just my 2 cents worth.

I heard they just kicked him off the helicopter over the Hindu Kush, and none of the Muzzie nonsense took place at all.

We Jews will never be cursed as long as the G-d of Israel has something to say about it.

Interesting ceremony, to be held on a Navy ship.
I found this comment interesting
Burial at sea takes place on a regular basis. The U.S. military has the ability to ensure that that burial is done in a manner that is, again, consistent with Islamic law, as well as consistent with what the requirements are for a burial at sea. And so that burial was done appropriately.
Regularly, I wonder how often our Navy buries sailors at sea. My guess, the last few years, we've probably buried more terrorists at sea. I've nothing to bas that on, other than our ability to transport remains. I think Mr. Brennan made that up.

Most of the sailors buried at sea lately are deceased veterans.

There were no recordings of the festivities, nor were any pix taken. I think there’s a good sound reason for that. Thanks grey_whiskers.

Yes, I should have made that distinction. I was referring to combat or other at sea deaths. Burial not at the direction of the deceased, but based on circumstances as was the case here. I have to think that you could count that on one hand over the last few decades.
To be honest, I'm a bit surprised we even have a protocol for Islamic burial at sea.

But what Greens discussion omits is that before this supplication, the required prayer service (see p. 34) includes the opening sura (chapter) of the Koran, or Fatiha. Looked at p. 34, don't see that anywhere.
