— Sen. Charles Schumer is calling for better rail security now that the raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound has turned up plans to attack trains in the U.S.
“Anyone, even a member of al-Qaida could purchase a train ticket and board an Amtrak train without so much as a question asked,” Schumer said. “So that’s why I’m calling for the creation of an Amtrak no ride list. That would take the secure flight program and apply it to Amtrak trains.”

Would be good to have a ‘Do Not Elect’ List for Congress. Schumer would figure prominently on it.

We need a “Do not interview” list. Schmuckie at the top.
Rode Amtrack last month and had to produce a photo id to ride the train.
If we had control of our borders, we wouldn’t have to worry about these things.
Schumer really wants to eliminate whatever is left of Amtrak ridership.
But wasn’t one of the desirable benefits of “high speed rail” is that you wouldn’t have to stand in line and be irradiated or groped by the TSA idiots?
WTF, you KNEW this was going to happen the first time some towel head blew himself up on Amtrak.
How about a “DO NOT DRIVE” list for illegal aliens?.................
What about a “Do Not Breathe” list?
We had sleeping car ( or whatever replaced Pullman car ) tickets from Sebring, Florida, to Washington, DC, two months ago. The Conductor was really, really busy (we were told later), didn't check his passenger manifest and forgot to tell the engineer to stop to pick us up.
I'm just counting the days until the same people are in charge of health care.

And Chuckie was always complaining the Bush Administration was causing fear among Americans. Sheesh! My husband rides the rails every day.

I suppose he meant “manifest”, but who knows? Dems don’t have to be intelligent.
