Newt is one of the smartest conservative commentators there are. You're close. Here's what I think: Newt's an idea guy. He generates tons of ideas. Some of them are brilliant; some of them are terrible. What he's missing is the ability to tell the difference.

Newt may be that, but he isn’t very smart. He believes in man made global warming, and I know better so he isn’t smarter then me.
Newt stopped being a conservative a long time ago. I ALWAYS change the TV or radio station if he comes on the air, and I mean ALWAYS.

I was just thinking that we can’t win in 2012 without with the hardcore radical socialist vote. :)

With any degree of luck Gingrich will find out early that he is as popular as a presidential candidate is as would be a spitting cobra.

only republicans can vote in a republican primary... As Alfie Doolittle said, "Where'd you get that idea Guv'nor?"
Georgia does not have political party registration. If any Democrat does not desire to vote for his highness, The Obama, and wishes to sabotage the Republican Election they can ask for a Republican ballot. I believe there are 13 states that would allow Democrats to vote in a Republican Primary either because they have no party registration or because they allow voting day registration.
The 13 States are: Georgia, Michigan, Virginia, Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
You must note that in Georgia it is a forgone conclusion that it will go to the Republican in the General election so any Democrat Primary vote will count for nothing, freeing all Democrats to crossover to vote for the favorite RINO Republican. We must all pray for rain and snow to keep the Dims at home for the Primary Election.

After NY 23, Newt is dead to me. Of course, after that, you can't call him a RINO...he's a CINO, though.

His first day in office, some liberal ho will be sent in to flash her thong, and Youtube will have the first Presidential Sex Tape out by the end of the evening.

I yet again weep for my nation...because as much as I long to see Romney and Gingrich shown for the RINO idiots they are....I would far greater love seeing OBAMA put in his place and out to pasture!! Sometimes I think that most of FR has the opposite prioritization.

He's just repositioning himself to get some media face time for a book or something. He is not serious about this, I guarantee. Although I would love to see him in a debate with Obozo. Whatever else Newt may or may not be, his skill in that arena is pretty legendary... Unfortunately, it's not enough to get him MY vote. His baggage sinks him before that ship ever even leaves the dock.

I think Gingrich is a brilliant man and historian. I do believe he took such a beating and demonetization by Clinton during his time as SoH, without throwing punches back, that he has no chance in hell of winning. Politically, Clinton beat him to a pulp after Gingrich’s Contract With America. And, the fact over the last few years, as a pundit, he has swerved to the middle on several issues, he isn’t electable. He should have fought when it counted back in the 90’s. Sorry Newt, way too many bruises and baggage. As far as everyone saying they won’t vote for Romney, I know a lot of that has to do with him being a Mormon, but I’d rather have a Mormon who stands by his beliefs and follows the teachings of Jesus Christ than Obama, who lies out his ass about his “Christian” religion. But still, Romney is too much of a centrist for me. But anyone is better than Obama, and I’ll vote for whomever is running against him, period.
To: xjcsa
Well, I did see him rip some guy a new one just off the cuff at the GOP convention one year.... A real massacre for that media idiot. But did I mention he won't be getting my vote? Your observation is one of those reasons....

Newt, you’re a fantastic idea guy and I really admire you for that. But you’ll never be POTUS. Get over it already. Go teach or join a think tank. You’ll be much more appreciated.

Now, now, just because he's a bit overweight, has had serial affairs, agreed with the dems about global warming, got beaten to a pulp by Clinton, moved to the middle in most of his pronouncements is no reason to give up on him.....
