Kloppenburg's Latest Solicitation
David Prosser Facebook Page ^ | Monday, May 9, 2011

Curious if they are going to continue, with the entire state minus Waukesha now recounted? Wonder what the reason for continuing is? The answers are "yes" they'll continue and an "unnamed Prosser volunteer" as the cause for continuing. Please read on:

-----
Dear Friends,

As of the end of the day tomorrow, Waukesha County is expected to be the only County that has not completed the recount.

The recount has uncovered significant issues in ballot security, especially in Waukesha but elsewhere as well: bags of ballots unsealed, a pile of ballots in a clerk's office, ballot bag seal numbers that do not match the inspectors' logs.

David Prosser's campaign has called these kinds of anomalies "small errors."

They aren't small errors. As a volunteer in Waukesha put it, the integrity of the ballot count is only as good as the integrity of the condition of the bags. As more anomalies are discovered, the importance of this recount becomes even clearer...

“I am not that worried he will win.”

I’m trying to smoke out what you meant. Does it mean that you are a fan of Kloppenheifer and are confident that she will win?

Or should it have been two sentences........or at least had a comma or semi-colon in the middle somewhere, i.e., “I’m not that worried. He will win.” Which is it?

The “unsealed” ballot bags were bags with ballot seals which weren’t quite closed all the way. Which does in fact mean people could slip additional ballots into the bag.

Which would be a problem if suddenly 70 more votes showed up in that bag, and they were all for Prosser.

But the only place where any large number of additional ballots were “found” wasn’t a place with a bad ballot bag; and the votes (168) were all for Kloppenburg.

In fact, she has actually reduced the lead by 341 votes; both candidates have picked up votes, but she had two major errors fall her way, the 168 vote and another that was over 21 votes.

Other than that, it’s all been small amounts one way or another. And the few hundred votes haven’t come close to closing the gap.

It is shameful that a person running for a non-partisan judgeship is lying to scare people about “ballot anomalies”, when she knows that at worst these anomalies would effect the RECOUNT, because how the ballots are secured now makes no difference for the count done on the night of the election.

The fact is most of the changes have been accepting ballots that were previously rejected. Other than the two major errors that broke in her favor, there’s been no sign that any district messed up their election-night count (I think there’s one place where two district results got reversed in some way, or some votes got added to the wrong district, so it didn’t change the results but moved 20 votes from one district to another).

I’m tracking this all with their daily spreadsheet updates, so I can see the actual change in counts, and project the final total adding in original numbers where we don’t have recounts.

It is true that for some reason the districts remaining were strong Prosser districts, which has left her in the lead on completed recounts. In fact, I’m surprised she didn’t sue to force the count to stop on May 9th, since her delaying tactics had prevented a large block of Prosser votes from being counted yet.

It's funny how in Washington state, finding ballots in ballot machines back in the warehouse months after the election is not a "small error" but missed votes that must be counted, but when it's the Republican in the lead, everything is a big error.

This is the woman who wanted the Republican to concede the election when the news media had him behind by something like 230 votes.

Then, when all the votes were in and she had lost by more than 7,000 votes, she wants a re-count.

What I want to know is: when will Republicans start contesting close election losses like this left-wing loon is contesting hers?

I hope they’re taking notes on every trick she’s using, every accusation she’s trumping up, ever “irregularity” she’s “finding.”
