Obama mocks Republican position on immigration

In search of Hispanic votes and a long-shot immigration overhaul, President Barack Obama on Tuesday stood at the U.S.-Mexico border for the first time since winning the White House and declared it more secure than ever. He mocked Republican lawmakers for blocking immigration over border security alone, saying they won't be happy until they get a moat with alligators along the border.

"They'll never be satisfied," he said.

Stymied by both chambers of Congress, the president ditched lawmakers in favor of voters who might pressure them, making an appeal to the public on a hot and dusty day far outside Washington. He told a friendly El Paso crowd that it's up to them to tell Congress to pass legislation providing a pathway to citizenship for 11 million illegal immigrants.

The approach also allowed the president to make clear that it's Republicans — not him — standing in the way of immigration legislation. As his re-election campaign approaches it's a message he wants broadcast loud and clear to Latino voters who don't like his administration's heavy deportations and feel he never made good on his promise to prioritize immigration legislation during his first year in office.

"I am asking you to add your voices to this," Obama said. "We need Washington to know that there is a movement for reform gathering strength from coast to coast. That's how we'll get this done."

On the other hand, it's easy to see why he's got so much compassion for undocumented workers.

I mean, that's the problem that won't go away for him, isn't it, lack of documentation?

Obama declares the border is more secure than ever. At national parks they put up signs warning people there could be drug cartels in the area or you might see group of illegals passing through. The border cannot be secured when the gov puts up warning signs that the area you are in is not safe

Message to BO: don’t make jokes and belittle the opposition that is responding to the life and death issue of illegal immigration.

“I’m sick to death of “we are a nation of immigrants” pablum. The debate isn’t about lawful immigrants. It’s about aliens. Immigrants use the front door. Aliens do not.”

Amen....

Legal immigrants understand that the US government must protect its citizens. They accept that when they hand over their fingerprints, they know that when the get their physical, they know that when they pay for their background checks, they know it when the apply for their tax ID or social security.

No one is talking about why we have the laws we have. No one is talking about why the Federal government is neglecting its number one duty to protect its citizens. All the liberals can do is think with emotion not logic but somehow the conservative is cold hearted. No, the conservative is not against LEGAL immigration. We want to be protected, we do not want to get a disease, we do not want undocumented shadow humans-ghosts walking amongst us.

How can the government guarantee that all of the illegals are going to turn themselves in and document themselves and follow this path to citizenship? How can the government guarantee that they even want to? Given the governments track record, can we believe that after some immaginary date when the illegals all join into this so called path to citisenship, that from then on, the federal government will enforce the laws and deport illegal undocumented immigrants. There are many illegals in this country who are not here for American dream. La Raza, La revolucion’ our federal government has failed us terribly.

This is the one issue that I will draw the line in the sand. This issue pits the federal government against all of the citizenry.

Have you seen the unemployment rate for our teenagers in this country? The jobs are still here, they are just being filled by illegals.

Unbelievable, Un-F-Believable

Go ahead Democrats, push it. If you think the election of 2010 was bad go, ahead. If their is one issue that units the the majority of citizens, it is this one. Go ahead....

FUBO

Lair in Chief

A few weeks ago he claimed Oil Production is up in the US under hos administration, he said just look it up

Lair in Chief is right. He lied again yesterday when he told the liberals in Austin that his auto bailout had saved every one of those employees. He said they all had been rehired.

This morning, GM announced that they were looking to rehire more of the laid off employees. Another thing, what about all the employees of the dealerships that are still looking for jobs?
