The Wisconsin Supreme Court recount is about to wrap up, and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel editorial board has a special message for Kloppenburg: Give up and go away.
So was it worth it? Probably not. As it appeared from the beginning, it appears even more so now that nothing will change in the election for state Supreme Court. . . .
Kloppenburg had every right to request the recount, but given the cost and the political fallout, it would have been better had she graciously accepted the loss. And — although again she has every right to do so — it would be better if she didn’t challenge the outcome in court, which it appears she will do. In fact, it appears the recount was mere preamble to the court challenge. This is no way to run an election.
Unfortunately I don’t expect the Journal Sentinel to persuade Kloppenburg that she should abandon this expensive and ridiculous effort to delegitimize the outcome of an election she clearly lost.
Damn that’s ugly but I believe it reflects here true inner self. LOL!
If they find an additional 7000+ votes in Waukesha County, then she needs to be locked up for life!
There is no basis to throw out the winning votes. They were properly reported to election authorities. The “mistake” was in forgetting to include the complete vote totals to the AP. Thus, the election results were REPORTED incorrectly, but accounted for correctly.
L o L !
You know that, I know that, and any honest person knows that, but it won’t keep the effort from happening.
