Would you agree with me that she gets the media's and public's attention like no other Republican these days?
If I were running a media organization, Palin is who I'd want as a candidate, because she's going to get attention no matter what. Nobody is going to tune in to watch Newt prattle on or Huckabee or Romney or even Perry. But Palin, Palin is going to get people watching. It may not even be a lot of people, but it would be a very dedicated group of people.

(No USEN polling for me. I have an aversion to financially supporting liberals.)

Yeah, that was terrible. And he ended up backing a bad hate crime bill a couple terms ago, if memory serves. But still, he’d probably be more conservative than any Prez since Reagan, and that wouldn’t be bad...

Palin/Perry 2012 ... Fixed. Heh... you win. Thanks.

Your scale appears to be different than the rest of the country but what I asked was if there was a more conservative major politician?
Generally critics of a politician cannot name one. Compared to the communists I am plagued with Perry would be Reagan incarnate. Folks who sound like you generally hate any successful real politicians but are in raptures over political amateurs and/or failures.

Geeez, you PDSers are a predictable lot. One little joke and your head explodes.
So, I guess the answer to my question is, PDS doesn’t just irritate. It really does hurt. I’ll try to feel sorry for you. Promise.

I asked was if there was a more conservative major politician? I answered you with sarcasm. Did you not get that?
The implication in your question (that Perry is a conservative) is flawed. Rick Perry is not a conservative, by any conservative's definition of the word.
Now, are there major politicians who are more conservative than Perry? Sure there are. Lots of them. Some are even running for president, or are contemplating it.

You sound like someone who shouldn’t have survived the Rudy bug zapper phase on FR.

While there is no implication in that question anymore than there is in asking who is more conservative than Dennis Kukinich, tell me some of these acceptable to you.
Since I couldn’t see the sneer on your face I missed any attempt at sarcasm, grimace harder next time.

Since I couldnt see the sneer on your face I missed any attempt at sarcasm, grimace harder next time. Honestly, you're taking this far too seriously.
...tell me some of these acceptable to you.
Why? I'm not interested in getting into a long, drawn out conversation about the relative degrees of various politicians' conservative credentials.
This is about Rick Perry, and I already told you what I think of him.

People not only forget that phase, but they also forget that Perry was campaigning for Rudy in 2008. That's recent history and it speaks volumes about the kind of person that Perry is.
To: af_vet_rr
Yeah. I thought a mention of that fact was needed.

really? Unimpressed? How many out of 300 million has Obama created? How many has he lost. Is FR becoming this narrow? This is just plain stupid to be this obtuse. He aint Gingrich or McCain bottom line.

Do I really have to do the research for you? Wow! I also am a Texan and Sarah Palin is nice but what is her actual record and when the Dems attack with the ânuts and slutsâ strategy where will that leave us??? Palin is a fan of Perry and he has 12 years of record to run on with 3 issues to disagree with him on. Is FR this narrow or perhaps stupid?

I also am a Texan and Sarah Palin is nice but what is her actual record and when the Dems attack with the "nuts and sluts" strategy where will that leave us? Sarah Palin's actual record is there for anyone who cares to look at it. It's stellar, and beats Rick Perry's by a long-shot, if you ask me.
Sure, Rick's been able survive two challenges in his re-election bids, but that's only because conservatives didn't really have a real alternative in the primaries.
He's also been smart enough not to 'fix what's not broke' in this state, which has garnered him a lot of unearned kudos for this state's success.
At the same time, I know that he's pushed in the right direction when Texas conservatives have jumped his ass, but that's what we've had to do, to get his head in gear.
As far as the "nuts and sluts" attack crap, the Dems have already shot their wad at Sarah. They've turned her drawers inside out, and found nothing. They're out of ammo, at this point. Who cares what else they dream up to throw at her? It'll be ineffectual, after three solid years of ongoing attacks, which amounted to nothing but false alarms.
