The White House Press Office has refused to give the Boston Herald full access to President Obamas Boston fund-raiser today, in e-mails objecting to the newspapers front page placement of a Mitt Romney op-ed, saying pool reporters are chosen based on whether they cover the news fairly.
I tend to consider the degree to which papers have demonstrated to covering the White House regularly and fairly in determining local pool reporters, White House spokesman Matt Lehrich wrote in response to a Herald request for full access to the presidential visit.
translation: The WH only wants reporters who will get down on their knees and pucker up to the Won’.
Obama gives finger to press and they bow.
Sounds like the Boston Herald reporter and management will soon be sent to Camp to Concentrate.
This white house is full of Girlymen
“It’s da Chicago gangster way.”
If Bush, Either one. had shut ANY reporter out it would be headlines in all newspapers and main story on the msm evening news.
The big question would be WHAT ARE THEY HIDING?
“If Bush, Either one. had shut ANY reporter out it would be headlines in all newspapers and main story on the msm evening news.”
Couldn’t agree more.
And sadly, there won’t be a peep about this one. In fact, I’d be willing to bet that the average member of the MSM is glad the reporter was excluded and feels it was deserved.
Howie Carr on WRKO Radio will have a field day with this one- I can hardly wait ‘til 3pm today to hear what he’s got to say about this !!!!
If the Globe had any scruples, they would boycott his fundraiser. IOW, you can pretty much count on a four page full spread tongue bath for Dear Reader in tomorrow’s Globe.
Enemies of the regime? Orlando Sentinel? Check. San Francisco Chronicle? Check. Boston Herald? Check. What’s the next media outlet to get the Obama “fairness” treatment?
Whoever is Obama’s press guru is screwing up big time. They are trying to control the message and the more they try, the more it slips through their fingers. A similar thing happened in San Fran, where a reporter who filmed some Obama protesters was banned from the press pool — THAT became the story. Michelle didn’t like an article that said she didn’t talk to the helicopter pilot, it was edited, but THAT became the story, instead of the puff piece. All these attempts at control are hurting Obama much worse than if he just let them go. And don’t get me started on the post Usama press fiasco.
