Yes, he mandated that in order for a girl age 12 or above to be allowed back in school, she had to have the gardasil vaccination. He bypassed the legislature in issuing this executive order mandate. There was sufficient outrage that the legislature overrode him on the issue, but he initially decided that he would simply dictate this regardless of the concerns of parents.
Yes. I’m speculating, but it seemed obvious to me that he probably was getting a kick back from merck. I can’t prove it of course, but the whole thing made no sense otherwise.
