Palin: Pelosi telling 'tight-faced lie' on healthcare reform law waivers By Jordan Fabian - 05/19/11 06:30 AM ET

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) on Wednesday accused House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) of telling a "tight-faced lie" in saying she had nothing to do with healthcare reform waivers granted to companies in her district.

During an appearance on Fox News's "Hannity," Palin echoed a quip made by comedian Dennis Miller that Pelosi was telling "a tight-faced lie" on the issue of the waivers — a reference to speculation that she had undergone plastic surgery.

"In the words of Dennis Miller today, who said on Fox in reference to something Nancy Pelosi said, what she is saying is a tight-faced lie," Palin said. "We cannot believe what it is she tells us now."

Palin is continuing her offensive against the former House Speaker over reports that a large number of San Francisco-area businesses got waivers, arguing they're an example of "crony capitalism."

But according to the company that managed the waiver applications, which is owned by a Republican, Pelosi had no influence over the waiver process.

Miller, a right-leaning comic and former "Saturday Night Live" star, originally made his joke on Fox News's "O'Reilly Factor."

"At this point in time, I can't tell if Nancy Pelosi is telling a bold-faced lie, or a two-faced lie, or a tight-faced lie. But I'll tell you this, I consider her to be the preeminent liar of her generation," he said.

Is that a not-so-subtle reference to Nancy’s “enhancements”?

Palin needs to expand on the theme, explaining how unequal application of laws is how corrupt/leftist politicians derive their power.

Of course he has to say that. Otherwise he's admitting to a crime.............

Miller hates Pelosi with a passion.

This is funny.

Company that managed the applications? WTH does that mean?

Like a vampire needs a steady supply of blood, the bloodsucker from San Fran needs a steady supply of botox. Or this happens:

"Bald-faced lie" would be the common term... and I'm noticing Sarah using more common vernacular lately. "Lame-stream media" etc. I love Sarah, but that's not terribly Presidential. I always saw her as being better than that. Maybe 3 straight years of unconscionable media attacks will do that to a person. Sad.

Someone who managed the applications has ZERO meaningful insight into the waiver approval process.

Sarah, please, leave the clever insults to the comedians. Dennis Miller got it out there. You be above all that. You’re better than that... and Lord knows we need a Lady in the White House again.

I think most conservatives are looking for the “fighter/statesman”. Just look at the attention and support anyone who “mans up” gets from the right.

I heard it when Palin said it on Hannity. It worked for Miller; it was part of a good zing on a dishonest politician. I didn’t think it worked for Palin, though. It seemed catty, something that will turn-off some women. There’s a fine line to walk when criticizing another woman’s looks, even someone as despicable as Nancy Pelosi.

Speculation???? Sort of like the "speculation" that the Pope is Catholic.
