Oregon Governor's Absences at Military Funerals Don't Go Unnoticed

While some governors go out of their way to acknowledge the sanctity of military funerals, Oregon’s new governor says he won’t attend them in his state if it’s inconvenient to him.

Gov. John Kitzhaber is making a departure from his predecessor, Ted Kulongoski, a former Marine who was so determined to attend military funerals he would cancel out-of-town travel to attend them. In fact, Kulongoski attended more than 100 military funerals during his eight years in office.

It's tough for a conservative like myself living in liberal Oregon.

Former Governor Kulongonski was indeed a patriot, albeit a liberal.

Kitzhaber is a true liberal @ssH&le!

Hey you Oregonians, keep working and pungle up. My wife has a huge pension payment coming from Oregon. Didn't you raise taxes 2% on the rich and surprise surprise the revenue dropped by 1/3.

To his credit, the moonbat Massachusetts Governor has made it a point to attend every funeral of every Massachusetts service member killed in action. That the slug from Oregon cannot do this speaks volumes.

“if it’s inconvenient to him”
You get what you vote for.
At least the idiot could have said...”if I can’t attend, a representative from my office will offer our condolences.”
Still pretty cheap.
