I’m afraid the reality is that Obama will get the vast majority of the Jewish vote in 2012 even if he publicly pisses on Netanyahu. The only real question is if he’ll top 75% again.

Well, I understand that he is backing and filling furiously today, so some will undoubtedly decide it was just “rettrick”. I bet there aren’t too many conservative and orthodox jews, or even observant who will vote for him. You have to remember, to many, many Jewish people after the war, Israel was a bad idea. A needless provocation that would endanger every Jew everywhere. I think that Israel’s goodwill has increased over the years because she is a GOOD COUNTRY in a sea of slummishness at best, and flat out evil at worst.

I would also point out that while the voting statistics look bad, Israel also gets a vast sum of money from the People of the United States. Not necessarily government to government, but people to people in trade, family, and charity.

Bottom line, I don’t understand it either.

Jewish Americans? Not any different than non-Jewish Americans. They either boo or remain silent. But alas, the AIPAC crowd gave Hussein Obama a very warm welcome, and has interrupted his speech with applause at least a couple dozen times already. Certainly not everyone in attendance, but the majority. Almost lost my breakfast.

President Obama is addressing the largest gathering of AIPAC ever this coming Sunday, with 10,000 pro-Israel activists in attendance. It’ll be fun to see what happens. Here is Obama who just became the first president to ever call on Israel to return to the 1967 lines going in front, just three days later, of the largest annual gathering of Jews and Israel supporters. What were the President’s advisors thinking?
