So the DEA snags some ATF weapons?
Great job, boys. I'm feeling much better.

It should be crystal clear, to even the most diehard law-and-order-at-any-cost conservative just who’s side law enforcement is now on...
Wake up folks!

This is so sickening. Our government is corrupt beyond what I ever imagined.
And if you think this is bad, read up on Operation Northwoods from the 1960s. Imagine what we still don’t know about our own government.

99.99% of citizen gun owners keep better track (and safety) of their guns.
Maybe the ATF can run ObamaCare: "We lost your grandma in the hospital, please call the DEA to find her."

CBS, amazingly enough, continues to run with this story. It's been all over the blogosphere, of course, and Fox has run pieces, but I haven't seen much in the rest of the elite media.

Fixed...

Since there are no significant number of AK-47 type “assault rifles” being used by criminals, the anti-gun administration has to supply those rifles AND make sure they are sold to criminals.
Then the administration and their anti-gun comrades in crime point to the number of those AK-47s used by criminals as reason for more gun control.

One must realize that if some low level ATF agents had not told the truth in an attempt to stop this, these recent deaths would be blamed on our access to firearms via the second amendment. This whole thing has been a set up job that backfired. This administration and Eric Holder in particular are complicit in Manslaughter.

It should be crystal clear, to even the most diehard law-and-order-at-any-cost conservative just whos side law enforcement is now on...I think you are right, generally. However, if it hadn't been for some LEO's we would never have found out about this.

Sources say DEA accidentally came upon the guns while stopping suspects in an unrelated case in the Phoenix area on April 13th. When agents stopped at least two suspects, they found two giant garbage cans full of dozens of AK-47 type weapons wrapped in cellophane. Grassley should blow a gasket. This is LONG after his inquiries began. Gosh, maybe Holder has some purpose in mind other than nabbing gangs. My guess is, he wants to arm them. See tag line.

The “Major shakeup” story highlighted in the post says most of the Phoenix agents involved in Gunwalker have been “reassigned”, mostly to DC (where incompetence is valued).
The comments even include one from an obvious BATF agent whose comment is to the effect of: “We’re not all idiots, and the FBI screws up too”.

Why yes, Officer, I found them in the trash and thought, “well, someone just tossed them away’

That argument would be more meaningful if it weren’t for the fact this whole thing was caused, created and perpetrated by law enforcement.
There was no crime here until LE created one.
