Video: New group founded by former WH staffers attacks … Mitt Romney
Hot Air ^ | 5/20/11 | Allahpundit

Posted on 05/20/2011 6:58:46 PM PDT by Nachum

To cleanse the palate, behold the first 2012 attack ad rolled out by Priorities USA, one of those outrageously outrageous outside groups funded by anonymous donors that The One used to dump on at every opportunity. The first lesson of Hopenchange, though, is that getting elected takes priority over principles (see, e.g., his reversal on accepting public financing in 2008), so now top O-bots Bill Burton and Sean Sweeney have struck out “on their own” to form the very same kind of group in his service. (A previous ad whined about the Koch brothers.) Liberals like Russ Feingold who, contrary to O, actually mean what they preach are horrified, but oh well.

I’m keen to gauge reaction in the comments to the possibility that the White House and its near orbit evidently are treating Romney as the frontrunner right now. Is that simply a nod at the fact that he leads, however narrowly, in most major polls and will almost certainly outraise everyone else? If they genuinely do expect to face him next year, they might as well start tearing him down now. Or are they actually trying to inflate him by focusing on him to the exclusion of other major candidates? (Gingrich, also seen here, doesn’t really count.) It’d be insane to run an ad against Pawlenty or Daniels given that they’d both be tough match-ups for The One and that their big problems are name recognition.

I hate to admit it, Mitt scares them so much. Wall Street would give him a ton of money. The Western States Mormons would go with him.

Independents sadly would vote for Mitt more than any other GOP candidate.

I have a cousin who is very Conservative and hates, my hero Sarah and would never vote for her.

He has stock piles of guns the whole 9 yards for fear of Obama but would not vote if Sarah was on the ticket. It has shaken our friendship.

It takes a special kind of stupid and/or evil to vote for either Romney or Obama against Sarah Palin.

I don't need friends like that, and this is a good time to shake loose of them before stuff gets historically really bad.

Did your cousin say why he wouldn’t vote for Palin?

Yeah, he buys the Media story that she is stupid or I think he is a Redneck who hates the idea of a woman President.

I am only cordial to him and I don't know Sarah but I pick her over him.

That part about “hates the idea of woman President” worries me.

I suspect there are lots of Conservatives out there who think way.

The White House is praying hard to allah that Romney will be the GOP nominee

They are salivating about the fun they will have attascking his hypocrisy and liberal record

His religion, racism, sexism and RomneyCare would be talking points for months on CNN and MSNBC

Romney would be beaten up every day and then theres the debates

he doesnt do well in debates without his ear piece and is confrontational in interviews

His own dumb mouth would make him a laughing stock

Mitty would make Barry look intelligent

Romney would be a walk-in-the-park verging on booringly easy to beat

Barry does not want a Conservative to have to go up against

A conservative would eat Barrys lunch

dinner, bedtime snacky and breaky too

So yes Romney is being shoved down our throats the way ObamaCare was

Does your cousin lovvvvvvvvvvvve animals more than he or she loves people? Never underestimate animal lovers especially those who don’t care for hunters.
