Definitely so. I truly hope she’s recovered from whatever her mental state was at the time, but leaving her kids to chase after an old flame is unstable [in my way of thinking] and would have caused problems with a campaign.

I'm assuming you meant Obama victory as I'd gladly accept an Obama defeat. If the Republican nominee ends up another McCain like candidate, I will not waste the time or effort in pretending they are a viable opponent to Obama. Instead, I will look to a possible future and support a Third Party (hopefully a Tea Party) candidate.
As for Cain or Bachmann, although I'd consider their elections long-shots, if either did win the nomination, I'd probably support them, as things stand now. I know much of Rep. Bachmann but little of Herman Cain other than his support of the flat tax and his apparent support of Government intervention with the private sector.
