What a top aide to Sarah Palin really thinks about Mitt Romney,Bristol Palin,Erick Erickson and more
The Daily Caller ^ | May 24, 2011 | Jonathan Strong

Posted on 05/23/2011 10:16:48 PM PDT by Bratch

A series of messages forwarded to The Daily Caller show a top aide to former Alaska Gov. and possible presidential candidate Sarah Palin mocking top political figures and even her boss’s own daughter, Bristol Palin.

RedState.com founder and CNN contributor Erick Erickson is “a total douchebag,” wrote Palin speechwriter and domestic policy adviser Rebecca Mansour in a May 22, 2010, message. “Greasy dumb ass with a talent for self-promotion. He threw himself in at the Gov’s SC rally. Self-promotion.” (Erickson said South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley invited him to the rally).

Mitt Romney supporters are “wacky as hell,” Mansour wrote, but usually Romney’s presence online is just an “AstroTurf brigade.”

“Would love to tell Mitt’s lackeys to stop backstabbing my boss anonymously,” Mansour wrote.

Then-California Senate candidate Chuck DeVore “wants to be the next Hugh Hewitt (or Huckabee). He knows he can’t win. He wants to become a ‘personality’. Give him a show to go away,” Mansour wrote. Palin endorsed Carly Fiorina over DeVore in the GOP primary for the race, angering some conservatives.

Mansour sent these embarrassing and revealing missives as “direct messages” on Twitter to an online-only acquaintance approximately a year ago. The person who received the messages forwarded them to TheDC.

"Come on. The American people are smarter than that. I thought freepers were too.

Most Freepers are. The truly hairbrained (PDS'ers) who already hated Palin (?!) will seize this like an epileptic under a ten-beat-per-second strobe. Big deal, let 'em whine. It's all they're good for anyway.

They've pretty much proven that they're not going to be instrumental in electing the next President of the United States, let 'em writhe and twist. The more momentum Sarah gains, the greater their agony (and the louder their screeching) will be. We'd best settle in and get used to it.

I kind of like the sound of it. It used to bug me, but now that I know what it is, it's kind of comforting. It is merely object verification of everything we blieve in.

Proof that Sarah is The One.

Are you thinking for running for President?

No?

Well, then nobody is going to give a crap if you make fun of your boss's kid.

This is a little different.

Now every cable show will say "See, we told you the Palins were flakes... even her adviser was saying it."

Well it will be interesting to see how Palin deals with this.

But in her defense, she commented about her admiration for Bristol’s love for her child. The stuff she said was strictly her own observations. She shouldn’t have said anything at all, I agree, but I don’t see where it will cause ‘damage’.

SIGH... have another cup of coffee. Guilt by association is putting the blame on Sarah for something one of her staff said. Ridiculous. Just like this 'making it harder' for her to run. This is much ado about nothing. But it looks like its working... look at the frenzy its causing here.

Tell me, would this make you not support her, meaning, if Sarah doesn't (do what YOU want) and fire RM?

The media looks for any excuse to attack Palin.

You shouldn't have members of you own staff giving them ammo.

An adviser has no "personal opinions" while working for a figure. They should not say anything. That is why she needs to fired immediately.

"This just made it harder for Palin if she is thinking about running."

Naw. It just confirmed that Sarah was smart to weigh carefully the repercussions of her decision to run on those around her. Which she has done.

We still have no proof that any of this actually took place, and if you think these imbeciles won't fabricate crap out of whole cloth, then you, too, are a functional imbecile.

All this proves is that, after hundreds of "opposition research" thugs have spent over two years looking, they have found absolutely nothing on Sarah. They wouldn't waste time on third-and-fourth-person anonymous rumors about her employees if they had.

This is a big blunder by the opposition, admitting that they have found nothing harmful on Palin.

Write away, though. It'll help with the pain to come. All the "Losers" know, Palin puts the "L" in "pain."

BWWWAAAHHHahahahahaha!

It will be fine and it will all work out. If Sarah Palin hasn’t been sunk by now with all the viscious crap that’s been directed her way, and by some that have been close to her in the past, this is not going to sink her or damage her either.

Hey..we got our own teflon lady here (remember when slick willie was called the teflon kid?).

They have been saying this for two and a half years. It still gets no traction with heartland America. Wake up. Smell Sarah's coming victory.

It's in your face.

This give the media more ammo.

Are you for Palin or do you just not get it?

If you were for Palin you would want this person who stabbed her in the back fired.

Um, where have you been? They've been saying that for 3 years and will continue to say it regardless of what an aide does or does not say. How sad that you're so tied to the MSM and their spin.

Big whoop. For someone who has “no chance” the lib media and the RINO media sure seem to be focused on Palin.

PS - Eric Erickson is a dbag. He’s our version of KOS, a self promoting clown.

So what RAM did probably was the weakest link and other than the Bristol stuff, everything else wasn’t that bad

I don't even think the Bristol stuff was that bad. The limited context from the article makes it seem like the comments were generally related to Bristol regarding Levi -- and we all know what a sleaze he turned out to be.

Yeah, this is just catty gossip stuff of no import. And RAM should not have been engaging in it with someone she clearly did not know. Since these messages were apparently "tweeted" last year, it explains why RAM suddenly went "dark."

But the real lesson here is that the MSM and Rats are not only spying on the Palins but their staff and supporters as well, setting traps and facilitating betrayals just to hurt Sarah. How low is that?

It is interesting that this appeared in the Daily Caller and NOT the Huffington Post or Politico, which are the usual outlet for leaks and backstabbing pieces against Sarah.

"BigBoss"---sounds like a Secret Service code name (chuckle!)

People should STF off sites like twitter and facebook.

Normally a thing is said and forgotten.

Put it on the internet and it is forever.
