At nearly 90 years old, Betty White has a message for senior citizens: get over it. The Golden Girls star can be seen stressing that age really isnt a big deal in her promotional videos for AARP.
Age shouldnt be a deciding factor when voting for politicians either, the starlet told Politico in an interview Monday.
I think its mental activity and physical health that should have a lot to do with it, not just the number of years, White said.
For White, the age of the politician doesnt necessarily make them an incapable public servant.
I think someones health is more pertinent to a political career then age [is], White said.
In her most recent video, White urged those nearing an over-the-hill mark to join AARP.
If youre 50 or older and hesitant to join AARP because you think it makes you look old, I have a very important message for you. Get over it! White said in the video.

A shame what happens to the mind sometimes with age:
She is hilarious and I love her to pieces.
But she may not know she is schilling for what is essentially the Gray Socialist Labor Party Company.
Just goes to show that wisdom doesn’t always come with age.
I’m getting AARP material and I’m only in my early 40’s!
She is not as smart as I thought she was.
She’s walking down Andy Griffith Parkway now. Too bad how some of these older stars go commie. They should know better than most having lived through so much.
F Betty and her liberal AARP.
I was in the Rainbow Room some years back at a party. There was a little Jewish lady sitting next to me. What a mouth she had. MF this, F that. Which was OK because it was an adult party and most everyone was a bit snockered. She was so funny and we had a great time. She did look familiar in a way for some reason. She said her name was Gettleman. Later, after the party and sobered up I found out why she looked familiar.....
Yeah, I’ve been throwing AARP stuff out for years. Also like to return postage paid envelopes empty when I am lucky enough to get them....
When my daughter was 10 years old, she ordered a seed catalog for a little garden she wanted to plant. A complementary AARP membership came a couple of weeks later for her; I guess they put her on a mailing list...
Huge lefty and Barry shill. The useful idiot Hollywood lefty should try to justify the Dc palace and exec salaries at that Dem front group
Jamie Lee.. Kind of questionable there, huh? Just saying.
She looks pretty amazing for someone her age, imho. I think she’s great, but AARP is worse than despicable. She may have no idea what they are really all about.
I have nothing against Betty White and I’m glad she can still make a buck at her age (89) but she is a part of the show business world (’Hollywood’). It’s not a stretch to assume that White shares the views of much of that world. AARP has clearly demonstrated that it is little more than a liberal front. I have no idea if Betty White knows this but I’m fairly certain that if she knows, she approves. If she doesn’t know, I’m sure she would still be the AARP spokesperson once she found out what this organization really is. The AARP has a benign image and Betty White fits that image.
Shes pretty sharp for an old lady but shes not sharp enough to know that socialism has never worked for anything other than to destroy a country and its people.
We all did. All you need do is use their self-addressed, postage-paid envelopes to return their material to them with a note saying you will continue doing this until they cease spamming you with their socialist propaganda.
I did this and I no longer receive their material.
FReepers in AARP threads many months ago talked about how they like to FILL UP the return postage paid envelopes as full as possible and send them in, so they would have to pay more postage than expected. Use your imagination as to what to put in them (paper items, nothing dangerous or overly offensive, please).
