When are 'pro-gun Democrats' going to demand Gunwalker hearings?

An open letter to Senators Max Baucus and Jon Tester

Senators Baucus and Tester:

You’ve both led in actions in the past to merit gun owner support (see "On the Issues" links, below), notably your letter to Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Acting Director Kenneth E. Melson opposing expansion of reporting requirements for long gun purchases, your leadership in ensuring that spent military cartridge cases remain available to the civilian market, and your warning to Attorney General Eric Holder that you “oppose reinstating the ban on the sale of assault weapons.”

Good job on those.

Unfortunately, you both have at critical times appeared to place party interests first:

Baucus and Tester are two of the “pro-gun Democrats” who, while relying on certain “proper” votes to mollify “single issue”-voting gun owners, have at the same time thrown their support behind the likes of Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan…

And unfortunately, it looks like the demand for open and thorough investigations into the “Project Gunwalker”* scandal is turning into a partisan issue—all leadership in this effort to date has come exclusively from the Republican side of the aisle, primarily from Sen. Chuck Grassley in the Senate and Rep. Darrel Issa in the House.

Why is that?

Are truth and justice partisan issues? What about rule of law, and government operating within its bounds?

Was Brian Terry a Republican or Democrat? Should it matter?

Many "pro-gun" democrats put part first, before the Constitution, before justice, before truth.

I doubt that. It will just be a pathetic whitewash like the Waco hearings. They will put the gun dealers on trial instead of the real culprits.

Everyone with an IQ even approaching room temperature knows this "idea" goes straight to Obama. It wasn't a flunky Attorney General or even a flunky Ass't Attorney General, this came straight from the race baiting Community Organizer himself.

Having US guns in Mexico is a pipedream that only a student of Hitler could appreciate. Obama wants the issue so he can go after gun distributors in the United States and gun manufacturers.

Things went very wrong and now we have the little people like Holder lying to protect the King. The pawns will drop like flies leaving Obama exposed to checkmate if Issa keeps the pressure on. This is the front end of Watergate but it is much worse as people died and it was a significant violation of every rule a President should use.

Obama would have people die from Mexican drug/gun violence to be able to enforce his agenda. This clown playing president doesn't care who dies, who is hurt as long as he wins.

If Obama wins, we all loose. IT's far past time to bring his whole house of cards down on him and watch the liberal press desert him like flies when the BBQ is started.

Pro-gun Democrats? An oxymoron at best. A Democrat will only be pro-gun if the party gives them a pass for political expediency in a conservative district.
DON’T COUNT ON DEM POLS FOR ANYTHING. The only good Dem pol is a deceased Dem or unemployed Dem.
