Indoctrination works. Due to cultural rot from Hollywierd, the media and schools, it’s not surprising so many fall for this. Almost every show on TV has a queer character or several, always glorified.

So many young people reject God, accept everything the “pop” culture glorifies, and fall for this all-out perversion of everything good.

This number,as we know,is BS. But the above explains why many believe support the queer agenda.

Except even in pro-gay movies and TV shows, there aren’t many gays. For example, the wildly pro-gay Glee TV show has 3 known gay guys, one lesbian, and one bisexual female.

Of course, we assume that a lot more of the all-guys school was gay, but when the gay Kurt character suggested as much, his Gay boyfriend Blaine said most were straight.

So even in that environment, it’s like 1% of the population.

People just assume there’s lots of gays, and then do a terrible job of translating to percentages. I bet most people couldn’t name 10 gay people they personally know, but would say they have a “lot” of gay acquantances; even though they could probably name a hundred people they “knew”, which would make it at most about 10%.

If one were to ask the average white man or woman on the street in any major city of the US, what percentage of the US population is black, most would say over 40%. Try it. I know, I have asked that question often and have gotten results up to 55%. What does that say about how the TV culture and the MSM reports the news. The same can be said about the gay culture. Nearly every day in the Washington Post newspaper there is an article on gay culture and today’s paper was no exception.

This lunacy can be attributed to the MSM and other leftist organizations conning the public into believing that homosexuality is normal and prevalent.

“but twenty five million gay Americans would make them a powerful voting block.”

It’s more than that - it is about “unofficial” set-asides & quotas. If 25% of us were deviants like that, and you added the number of Americans who choose not to procreate, we’d be 97.8% Hispanic by now.

Nonsense fed by people fed by TV.

On a related note, Gallup just released a poll that found 75% of U.S. adults have failed at least one statistics class.

For the purposes of credible scientific measurement, it seems that the gays & lesbians at Gallup....... should also include kindergardeners in their samples.

The world has gone crazy.

These are the same people who estimate that the moon is “a gazillion” miles from earth, petroleum reserves will run out “next Tuesday,” and the federal budget deficit is “$16.47.”

In other words, idiots.

RE :”A recent UCLA Study estimated the gay population, based on self-identification, at about 3.5%, and another 1.8% self-identifies as bisexual. That is nowhere near the 25% number, but it is not insignificant. If the number were evenly spread across the country (which is a big if, given that most openly gay people are city dwellers) it would mean that about 1 out every 20 people you know is either gay or bisexual.

Thanks for the info.

The key word that I read is ‘self-identification’. You got a whole series of new civil rights victim protection laws around the country that are based on protection of those defined by self identification of those words gay, etc.

I with the Paul's (ATTENTION Paul plug here LOL) are not too thrilled about some provisions of the 1964 civil rights act, but at least we know when someone is not white and qualifies, beyond just their word.

With just about every ‘mainsteam’ show on TV having a homosexual character (or more), all the reporting in the mainsteam news, TV and radio, you’d expect it to be in the 50% or more range.

However, from what I understand (and I have not researched this, but my pastor has) from my pastor, it’s roughly 4-6% of the US.

But, that’s enough to overturn thousands of years of precedent, allowing anyone to ‘marry’ anyone. Sorry, one man and one woman make one husband and one wife.

This poll is not about REALITY but PERCEPTION. It clearly demonstrates how the campaign to legitimize homosexuality — and define deviancy downward — is succeeding in certain demographics.

It also confirms Joseph Goebbels’ concept of “The Big Lie.”

From the Kinsey institute:

In a national survey, 90% of men aged 18-44 considered themselves to be heterosexual, 2.3% as homosexual, 1.8% as bisexual, and 3.9% as ‘something else’ (Mosher, Chandra, & Jones, 2005).
Among women aged 18-44 in the same survey, 90% said they were heterosexual, 1.3% homosexual, 2.8% bisexual, and 3.8% as ‘something else’ (Mosher, Chandra, & Jones, 2005).

http://www.kinseyinstitute.org/resources/FAQ.html#homosexuality

We had people in Florida some years back saying they were black or Hispanic - trying to get some of the ‘perks’... you’re right sickoflibs - they were easy to ‘catch’. Gays, not so much...

Even 3.5 sounds too high to me. A few years ago they estimated that 1% of the population was homosexual. I know they’ve been recruiting, even in the government schools, but I strongly doubt that anywhere near 25% have made the choice to be homosexual!

If you watch the nightly news and television talkshows, you are seeing a heavily weighted representation of homosexual anchors.

Far exceeds the general population.

The results don’t reflect that people think 1 out of 4 are homosexual. The results reflect that Americans don’t understand simple mathematic principles.

It also shows how stupid the now commonly accepted idea that homosexuals are equivalent to american blacks as far as new civil rights go is. Lets just pretend the 14th Amendment was passed to protect same sex sodomy, What the hell.

I am old enough to remember when the gays and liberals blamed us for the aids they gave each other with these new 'rights' so I got no sympathy in this area.
