DURHAM (WTVD) -- Did a member of a Durham police SWAT team go too far when he shot and killed a dog during a raid in April? Some say it was unnecessary force.
ABC11 cameras captured the incident at a home on Dunstan Avenue April 12.

Well, I don’t have a dog, but God help you and your wife and your kids and your sisters and brothers and mother and dad and aunts and uncles and your pets if you shoot my CAT. That’s my position, and I’m sticking with it...
How terrible!
What kind of dog was it?
Labrador Retriever
I am sick of these guys breaking into our homes and killing us or our pets. Will they start killing children next?
Was the dog breathing?
I believe that is all the justification they feel they need to shoot your dog.
They already do. Was a story on FR yesterday about the killing of a SLEEPING 6 year old in a raid and nothing was done about it.
Got 3 grown Labs and now 7 puppies. I’ll be looking for a home for them in about 4 weeks.
My father had to put down his 14 year old Lab today. She was dying and suffering and he had to make the call. She had been dragging for the past year but time ran out.
That’s already happened. A seven year old was shot to death by a SWAT team in Detroit just last year.
Cannot really tell what happen from the vid, maybe and maybe not.
Could add, there was no reason to advance like you were gong to play war did not look like anything called for swat.
IMO, the killing pets is the first level of violent psyops when stormtroopers raid a home. The fact children are being killed takes this to a new level of terror. Is it a leap to think the families of political opponents will soon be attacked and terrorized in the same manner?
We`re not the same America anymore.
A good attack cat, or cats, would attach itself to the face(s) of the assailant(s). Don’t think anyone would try to shoot a critter so close to a face.
Black labs are even tempered, intelligent and trainable. Anyone who would shoot a non-belligerent dog has no business dealing with people at any level.
These tactics are going to lead to escalated violence against police in this country. If people begin to see the police as inhumane, they will prepare to defend themselves against such a force. “We will not fire the first shot, but we will fire the last one.”
Looks like the government people just wanted to shoot something.
