Nearly every time I suggest to someone that Israel needs to declare complete sovereignty over Judea and Samaria, I am bombarded with doubts and accusations - "Are you crazy, it can't be done!" "What will the world say?", "America will not allow us", "We'll be boycotted and perhaps attacked", "We'll lose the Jewish majority in Israel", etc, etc.
Although it's true that it's a complicated issue, my initial response to the valid concerns is to temporarily change the subject. Thus, rather than addressing each point I bring up the feasibility of the current two-state solution since as they say, "the best defense is a good offense". The conversation usually goes something like this:
"After nearly twenty years of trying to reach an accord with the Arabs via all the various forms of more or less the same Oslo approach, a period that witnessed numerous Israeli "good-will gestures" as well as endless Palestinian terrorist attacks, do you honestly believe that further Israeli concessions and another Israeli retreat will actually lead to peace?" The answer is nearly always "no".

The Jews, by the grace of G-d, WILL occupy all of Israel—So let it be written, So let it be done, now!
Thanks Nachum.
Amen!
And what happens to the Arab majority in those territories? Gas chambers? Ethnic cleansing? Enslavement? Be honest now.
Are you kidding? The Israelis have been the most generous with the local arabs, in fact, if you took the time to actually go to Israel and talk to the local Palestinians, you would know that their biggest fear is to be under Palestinian rule. The Israelis spend an inordinate amount of effort in protecting Palestinian rights—there would be no retribution. You be honest. I know a soldier that was involved in the Jenin “Massacre”, which turned out to be 12. The IDF went door to door, in order to protect innocent lives, when they could have just bombed the hell out of them, like we have done in the past..The IDF lost 19 soldiers due to the effort to protect.
Most of them should be killed as pan-islamists have forfeited their rights to life. If there are any survivors, shepherd them into the Sinai. About forty years of wandering should do it.
Wow! "Most" of course are women and children. I do appreciate your honesty though, no doubt, you would rank high on God's list for the eternal fire.
Back to specifics. You would "protect" the Palestians in the case of Israeli annexation. Fine. If so, would you give them voting rights. If you do, they will (combined with the Arabs in Israel proper) soon by a majority in this Great Israel. Are you willing to accept that alternative? If you not, they will be second class human beings under Israel law. If you were a disfranchised Arab in such a situation, what would you do? Again, provide specifics.
They become citizens of Israel. Assuming that Gaza is not part of the equation, it makes the country about 6 million Jews and 2.5 million Arabs, mostly Muslim.
It is doable. But it wont address the other issues, in particular Arab refugees would be shut out, likely forever. The birth rate, particularly because of Orthodox Jews who multiply at the same or faster rate than the Arabs of the WB, would likely ensure a Jewish majority in perpetuity.
If Israel were to declare sovereignty over the WB and hand out passports, it would cause much outrage in the Arab world and the UN would go berserk.
You are right to condemn morons on chat boards calling for genocide. But do you make the same condemnations when you hear of real leaders of countries with the capability and profession to carry out genocide, such as Qaddafi and Ahmedinejad and the Hamas and Hezbullah freaks? Aren’t they even more worrisome, worthy of more than just your condemnation given their positions of power and their capabilities?
Again, if we are not talking about Gaza but just the WB, then it is not likely to threaten a Jewish majority. It wouldn’t be easy. Historically the reason the land was partitioned was because of ethnic strife. But the WB has lately become mollified by economic success. It could integrate with Israel pretty easily. If the people there demand secession, it is no different than it is now.
Here is another question. Assuming the land were divided along the 1967 lines, would the Arabs give citizenship and rights and protection to the Jews who stayed behind?
...Which begs the question, How many muslims are islamist? We´ll likely find out sooner rather than later.
How many women and children did we kill at Hiroshima and Nagasaki? We were in a war then too. Ever hear of that one?
