It’s not that we’re blaming Sarah. I don’t see that the media is going to comment on it.
Some are saying “watch out for that kind of stuff”. Because what is possible is that the media would run those photos, and the messages would get out there subliminally. She should watch for potentially subliminal stuff. Because the media is out to get her. Romney could have all sorts of terrible subliminals in his images but the media would try to photoshop it into looking the way they want.

Nope...you pinged “JoeSixPack”. That’s somebody else. At least you tried, unlike a number of others.

Any liberal who made an issue of Sarah Palin posing with Artie Muller wearing his “Dictator” patch would get his (hat) handed to him. I understand your concern about “gotcha” photos, but this is not one of them.

"I didnt see your comment. Were you fearful too?" At #42. It was an observation based on realpolitik. We know the media is going to be stacked against us; any person that doesn't recognize that is a fool and detached from reality. It behooves us to start fighting that now, rather than giving the enemy slings an arrows to be used against us. It's a fight I'm perfectly willing to fight. I just don't want our champion to give them anything to be used against us.
I went through this with Bush. I defended him and his administration against coworkers at the watercooler, family members at Christmas, at social gatherings etc. When his admin failed to defend itself, frankly I was put out. Why should I try to fight the fight to defend him when they saw no interest in doing so?
I know Sarah will fight back, I'd just prefer she and her advisors not give the enemedia easy targets. Like I said earlier, if the Zero had been standing next to somebody wearing a "Dictator" patch, we'd be having conniptions here regardless of the context. The problem is what liberals do ends up on FR. What conservatives do ends up on the nightly news. That's the battlefield we're on, and we're foolish to not adapt our tactics to our strengths and weaknesses.

She just got her automobile driver’s license during the filming of *Sarah Palin’s Alaska* last summer.
I seriously doubt that she has a license to operate a motorcycle and again, Sarah Palin made no mention of her own daughter riding the bike.

"Any liberal who made an issue of Sarah Palin posing with Artie Muller wearing his Dictator patch would get his (hat) handed to him." From your keyboard to God's ears. Contrary to the apparent low intensity smear launched against me on this thread, I'm not panicked, worried, fearful, nervous, etc. about this single pic. As I indicated elsewhere, this is nickle and dime stuff, but over time these ad up to quarters and dollars. There's a lot of time between now and the election, and our candidates need to start paying attention to these details now. It's not a matter of 'if' the media is going to start using stuff like this against them, it's a matter of when.
Rhetorically, I would ask again, if Obama was caught in a photo standing next to a person with a "dictator" patch, how would that sit on FR, regardless of how innocent the context may have been? (not that Obama does a whole lot that qualifies as 'innocent').
Will this photo cost an election? Nope. Will 10 or 15 such photos make even a nomination unlikely? In my estimation, they probably would.

Of the People, By the People, For the People

Took an incognito tour of our beautiful national monuments tonight. We met some great everyday citizens who were also "taking it all in" in honor of the greatest nation on earth.
One couple we met traveled from Michigan to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary in our nation's capital, and they expressed how thankful they were to live in this land of great opportunity. We were also privileged tonight to get to thank a member of the greatest generation for his service in WWII. This fine patriot was surrounded by his large, extended family that had pooled together to send their patriarch from Oklahoma to DC this Memorial Day weekend to see the breathtaking WWII memorial built to honor that generation's tremendous sacrifice. Meeting him and his caring family made my heart soar with pride for the honor so many show our military vets.
Tonight, as the sun set and we gathered to read the eternal words of President Lincoln at the majestic memorial in his honor, we were shown more reasons why Americans can feel great pride in our exceptional nation. The Lincoln Memorial reminds us that ours is to be a government "of the people, by the people and for the people" and it's with gratefulness for past generations that we can commit ourselves to living out the promises and values etched on those memorial walls.
And that's what this tour is all about.

Quite honestly I wouldn't defend the person she was standing next to. I'd refuse. What has Sarah to do with others choice of clothing and patches? Nothing.
Don't start running before you're chased.

"Quite honestly I wouldn't defend the person she was standing next to. I'd refuse. What has Sarah to do with others choice of clothing and patches? Nothing." If you'd apply that same standard to Obama standing next to somebody with a Che t-shirt, and/or a Black Panther patch, I salute your integrity and intellectual consistency.
(No...I'm not attributing moral equivalency to a Che t-shirt and the 'dictator' patch.)

Sarah has to prove herself to West? LOL! Arrogance! Where the h*ll has he been these past 2.5 years? No outrage spoken from the platform he was given to speak LOUDLY to this commie administration. Playing it safe so no darts fly his way - is not leadership. With that comment he obviously wants to be part of the old boys club - a dime a dozen.

There's a big difference between the two. Obama hangs out with leftists. Some of his campaign offices had Che flags. A patch on someone's vest standing next to Palin doesn't count. Totally different things. I believe that you are over-reacting.
The press went after Joe the Plumber for getting an honest answer out of Obama. It was a ruse to cover his answer. McCain invited him to speak and took a negative and made a positive. The press CAN be outfoxed. And Palin can do it!
