No, how to see without those “boys club” blinders on.
He will come around, you can bet the rest won't.

Yes, your comprehension skills were horrible in your take on what the poster you posted to was getting across. She is standing next to Artie, he's the head honcho of Rolling Thunder. What is there to misunderstand?
To: Syncro
But calling a poster squeamish for stating the same thing you are only in a different way was not accurate. Didn't call a particular poster squeamish, was talking about people in general.
Another way of saying it is regardless if Sarah was perfect as prefect can be, the MSM will twist, distort and lie about it. There is no way to strategize or plan against that except going into hiding which is not particularly beneficial to a potential candidate.
Get used to that fact.
Sarah did nothing wrong today, the MSM tried to twist, distort and lie on several things, not just one.
This is the way it's going to be, the only defense is to fight back and burn them for their efforts each time.
The Idea of she shouldn't have done certain totally innocent and normal things today because the MSM could possibly lie about them is ludicrous as a strategy.

Her staff, advisers, campaign etc. needs to be more cognizant of this kind of stuff and its potential to misfire.Joe, the only one twisted up on this is you. There is also a nice photo shop of her going past the WhiteHouse with a One Way sign.....so what?

Her staff, advisers, campaign etc. needs to be more cognizant of this kind of stuff and its potential to misfire. Seriously what would you have done differently? The picture with the president of Rolling Thunder is great publicity. There is no way they should not have released it.
I offered my comments in support of Gov. Pin
That's good but I require no pronouncement of support for Palin when discussing issues.

"1) Define this Middle group that you and Karl Rove fear are going to leave the GOP (Conservatives) because of some misstep that Palin might make?" First of all, if you'd have been on this forum longer than two years, you'd know I've been pretty critical of Rove for the better part of a decade. Part of my criticism of him was that, early in the Bush years, there was a cult of personality that grew up around him, kind of like I'm seeing here. Nobody dared to level any criticism lest they become the target of invective and personal attacks.
At this point, I define the middle as uncommitted voters. I don't view it so much on a left/right ideological spectrum. The people that self-identify as such are at this point pretty much committed to voting GOP or Dem, although enthusiasm will impact their turnout numbers. Most Americans are more conservative than they realize, even if they don't identify themselves as such.
To win them, Sarah has to awaken in them the realization of how conservative they actually are, and how much closer she and her views are to theirs. These people tend to not give much thought to political or economic philosophy, and some tend to respond emotionally (although those with the strongest emotional investment tend to already be encamped on the liberal/dem side.)
Sarah does a good job of raising the conscience of middle America despite everything that's been thrown at her, but through no fault of her own, in the wake of 2008, a lot of obstacles have been thrown up against her. She's going to have to overcome these to be successful. I'm not saying she should be totally scripted, a big part of her appeal is her genuine, spontaneous persona, but that's a double edged sword, becuase there will be careless photos/video and comments. She needs to make a conscious effort to minimize these.

Sadly not possible. Holding down the fort. Wife is on call. We are inseparable. Gettysburg left a deep impression on me. I did not see north and south. I saw thousands of patriots who died. There is no place else I would like to be on Memorial Day, but with other great patriots. Bummer. I do believe Gettysburg is the greatest parallel to where we are now. Sleep well.
