If he is bought and paid for, in practice or in theory, his number one agenda item seems to be to make sure that only RINOs get elected. Krauthammer falls into that same category.

Buckley was good at expressing conservative philosophy, but was an elitist to the core. Interesting fact about Buckley: he didn't have a driver's license. He didn't need one because his chauffeur drove WFJ wherever he wanted to go.
Buckley may have been a conservative. Will is more of an establishment Republican. Neither would be comfortable with today's rank and file conservatives. They are not one of us. Sarah Palin is.
Krathammer is another who believes we should be governed by our betters (which includes himself and George Will).

What little respect I had for George Will ended years ago when on a Sunday show he said; “Fair trade is like intelligent design; no serious person believes in either one.” Will is a pseudo-intellectual and a neo-con. He is an establishment hack.

Then catch your three year old’s vomit in your bare hands at the zoo snack bar because you have enough sense to try to keep the other patrons from having to step in it. That makes me feel bad for Sarah. It may be rent-free, but the low ceilings and cramped rooms must be awfully depressing.
He is neither.
Instead, he is a one-time conservative who has been in Washington far too long.
Mere residence in Washington seems to have brain-altering and spine-jellification effects on conservatives -- eventually transmogrifying the conservative into a lily-livered "moderate".
