McCain: Lack of full U.S. military commitment hurts Libyans
The Washington Times ^ | 2011-05-29 | Ben Wolfgang

Sen. John McCain on Sunday said Libyan civilians are dying in large part because the Obama administration has refused to commit the full weight of the nation’s military to the fight to overthrow strongman Col. Moammar Gadhafi.

“This thing could have been over a long time ago,” Mr. McCain, an Arizona Republican who was the party’s 2008 presidential nominee, said on “Fox News Sunday.”

(snip)

A quicker end to the fighting, which must include the removal of Col. Gadhafi from power, Mr. McCain said, would make it less likely that terrorists would gain a foothold in Libya.

Considering that we have no business in Libya, what the hell does Mcnasty or anyone else in American politics have to vent their opinions.

What, isn't this a-hole dead yet? He needs a one-way trip to the vet for the long nap.

Say “Goodbye”, John, and leave Libya to the Libyans. It is none of our affair.

“would make it less likely that terrorists would gain a foot hold..”

Really dude? I don’t trust these “freedom fighters” any further than I can throw them.

Is McCain sponsoring a bill to authorize the president to send the military to Libya?

“McCain: Lack of full U.S. military commitment hurts Libyans”

Lack of U.S. military commitment has hurt us on our own border too....we see where your priorities lie.

Up yours McCain!

You would think from McCain telling it he singlehandedly won the Iraq war because he backed the surge. Now on to his next victory in Libya. John, find us a national security interest in that craphole and we will let you singlehandedly win that one too.But do us a favor first and retire.

Hate to clue you in, but the whole point IS to let the terrorists gain a foothold (at least that's my theory... for lack of any other rational explanation).

I don’t care about deposing Kadaffi in Lybia. It is not worth the life of a single American serviceman to remove him and install other muslims who might be a bit more friendly to western bankers and the IMF. They never stopped pumping oil,,,,

i’m disappointed. the Washington Times doesn’t usually lie like the NY Times...

NATO has killed more confirmed civilians, including children, than Quadafi.

and the rebels ARE from eastern Libya, which our own reports confirm, was the largest supplier of Afghan foreign fighters. The SAME people we are bombing in Afghanistan, we are HELPING in Libya, to give them a country !

...just as Obama just gave Egypt to the Muslim Brotherhood, and persecution and murder of the Coptic Christians immediately INCREASED.

and another story in Yemen, has the Islamists controlling a town, and filling the streets with bodies.
yet AGAIN, President Obama, is SUPPORTING the Islamist and Al-Queda “rebels”, against the Yemen president who was previously our ALLY.

...so knowingly or not, McCain is HELPING Islamic terrorists.

You’re absolutely right. I always knew Obama couldn’t care less about America but I don’t understand why McCain hates us too.

Five time aircraft crash survivor, and Navy pilot John McCain, turned to his North Vietnamese advisers today, preparing for his role in “Operation out in a week”, the US non war against Libya.

Duh. So far the 0bama/NATO actions have created a stalemate insuring unceasing loss of life on both sides. Liberal views of compassion usually do create more suffering than would otherwise exist.

Well, John...

That would have involved Obama being honest about his motives, and that wasn’t going to happen.

Mr GOP candidate John “you have nothing to fear from a President Obama” McCain apparently wouldn’t have been any better than the communist/narcissist/idiot we are now stuck with.
