I am for once, without words. Just frigging awesome.
Japan has never had a shortage of gallant and brave people.
Just like this country, the older generation did not grow up playing Nintendo and Playstation and wussified themselves. I was just talking to a J buddy of mine before we started talking about our next summer project and which anime we will be subbing and he mentioned that the new generation are so full of themselves.
This is the second thread on this I have seen.
I am not complaining, but thought you should know.
NEWS like this needs to get around. It takes time and repetition for more to be aware of it.
That being said, those Japanese. They are an amazing culture, are they not?

Great article, great sacrifice.
Let this be a heads-up to the #ing Commies in the USA.
Having lived there for 5 years and have a Japanese wife I can say that this sense of obligation/duty felt by the older generation to insure the health of younger generations is genuine.
Let me find 1 Liberal willing to do that and I would be surprised.
日本 ピング (kono risuto ni hairitai ka detai wo shirasete kudasai : let me know if you want on or off this list)
The spirit of the Samurai lives on. . . WE need more people with this kind of attitude. . .
I didn’t see it posted the first time, so thanks for posting this incredible story. Amazing.
I suggested over a month ago that they use Hiroshima survivors because they are pre-radiated.
exact oppisite in our country....here, we sacrifice the young and their future so our elderly can retire in leasure, gamble, travel, enjoy other peoples money...
Gotta respect the Nipponese. They run a trade surplus, they do their best to keep jobs in Japan and keep people employed which is a lot better than America. About 15 years ago in the WSJ there was an article about some Japanese homeless due to their economic difficulties. So these older men had to camp out in parks. Every day they would get up early and start sweeping and cleaning up the place plus they had some communal meals set up. They were disciplined and orderly despite being homeless ...most likely temporarily
They were barbaric in WW2 but I have no problem with them otherwise...plus I respect their culture and way of doing things
It’s getting difficult to read about how wonderful the Japanese people are without getting teared up. My prayers for all of them ...
