Krauthammer: Palin "Not Schooled" In Policy; Doesn't Know She Needs It
Real Clear Politics ^ | June 1, 2011 | Charles Krauthammer

Posted on 06/01/2011 9:43:57 AM PDT by Rennes Templar

FOX News contributor Charles Krauthammer gives his take on what a "Washington establishment elitist" thinks of a potential Sarah Palin run for the presidency. In self-deprecating fashion, Krauthammer says he wears Palin's "hoity-toity" comment as a badge of honor.

"She is very smart and adept. Great political instincts and is a star. The problem with her, I think, is that she is not schooled. I don't mean she didn't go to the right schools. I mean when you get into policy, beyond instincts -- I like her political instincts, I like her political overall view of the world -- but when it comes to policy, she had two-and-a-half years to school herself and she hasn't and that's a problem," Charles Krauthammer told Bill O'Reilly on Tuesday. "It's not only the lack of schooling, it's the lack of effort to school herself and the lack of insight to see that she needs it."

Yet Krauthammer enthusiastically jumped on the “Hope and Change” bandwagon in ‘08, completely unconcerned about the fact that Hussein Obama’s experience consisted solely of communist organizing, and that his “policy schooling” came from Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals.

Well Chuck!

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know better than to borrow 8 Billion from China to give to the Egyptian muslim brotherhood you elitist pig!

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know better than to propose publicly that Israel give up it's hard-fought land & buffer from terrorist attack.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know not to suck up to radical muslims in Egypt,Libya, Syria, Yemen under the guise of supporting democracy!

What he means by “policy” is that everything must be done within the framework of

“elite ruling class running things”.

And, no, this is not where real conservatives view the future of “policy” at all.

‘She is very smart and adept’—

He gets that part right.

Just proves Obama was schooled, and not very smart.

Apparently he's missed her recent trips to India & Israel and her recent hiring of a new foreign policy adv.

She drives them crazy because she is one of 'us'. Palin absolutely epitomizes the American way of life.

They are going to be shocked when she goes into a debate and chews up her opponent(s). She probably has been reading every top policy adviser's written account on the subject.

Yeah, the Zero worked out so well on that... He knew absolutely nothing, but believed he knew everything, hence the massive blunders by the Teleprompter In Chief.

"The assault weapons ban is . . . symbolic," wrote the columnist Charles Krauthammer, a defender of a total gun ban. "Its only real justification is not to reduce crime but to desensitize the public to the regulation of weapons in preparation for their ultimate confiscation. . . . Deescalation begins with a change in mentality. . . . The real steps, like the banning of handguns, will never occur unless this one is taken first."

Perhaps this is the policy that he thinks she should be "schooled in".

I can understand folks not reading the article, but at least read the excerpt. And you posted it! He’s not talking about where she went to college.

Krauthammer is a neo-con and an elitist but at least try to understand what he’s saying. He’s wrong, but that doesn’t make him a bad person, not like the Rats and such, who are bad people. He pointed out very early that he’s not talking about where she went to school.

I believe he’s wrong because I think what’s more important than learning everything about Tajikistan’s revolution and what the means to the Uzbeks is to have a correct, Christian worldview, and allow experts to advise you.

>>What he means is that, for better or worse, she doesn’t know US policies and why they exist, and the consequences of their existence or removal.<<

Is that not why a president has advisors? I mean that they can know a lot of things, but not everything, but if they surround themself with good advisors, they can go a long way. I think this is where urkel really blew it. Even being the incompetent that he is, if he had surrounded himself with quality people he could have avoided many of his missteps.

The "K" is talking about "schooled in policy development". You can do that on your own with concentrated study.

BTW, the Leftwingtards are more concerned with WHICH SCHOOL, not what somebody may or may not have studied.

Sarah studied journalism. Most of her critics studied journalism. The "K" makes his living stabbing at journalism.

What the "K" forgets is Sarah actually spent some time on a regulatory authority control board ~ she got "schooled" I am sure. Then, there are her own small business ventures ~ that's where Harry Truman got "schooled" in policy development.

He'd like a date I am sure.
