Like my daddy always told me: “If you don’t like things the way they are, change yourself.”

He went from a jailbird to a successful 35-year career in the Marine Corps. I listen to him.

Stop whining and change yourself, and so influence the world a little at a time. My daddy’s lesson.

I've worked, hard, since I was 18. Despite some health challenges, I still put in 50-hour weeks, and haven't called in sick in seven or eight years.

Obviously, a winner of life's lottery. Obama has no interest in such people. His voters are already sitting on the front stoop, swigging a beer and waiting for his weekly donation from Welfare.

He said it all very well.

The liberal world view is very different than the world view of most of us. And he points out the sharp differences very well.

Great summary. Now, what's he going to do about it?

I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making.

Nothing at all.

It’ll be interesting when our military members come to the full realization that they are far, far better than any of our ruling class in any measure of morality or ability.

It’ll be even more interesting when they decide to do something about it.

I'm tired of illegal aliens being called "undocumented workers,"

I'm tired of hearing the false phrase "Illegals do the work Americans don't want to".

Now Americans will take any job to keep the wolf from the door. I should know after a second layoff.

Bookmarking a great read. This, honestly, is the platform that any Conservative should base their campaign from. And 95% of it, we'll never hear from a Conservative’s lips, lest they ‘offend’ someone who will never ever vote for them.

If he’s reached age 63 with no retirement savings (after time in the Marines and the Mass. state government?) ... if he’s earning a good salary, and his wife is also working, but they’re struggling to get by ... if he’s supporting a non-handicapped adult child, at his age ... then surely he can’t blame *everything* about his life on bad government policies. Wasn’t there any point in his life at which he might have affected the trajectory?

This sounds like a setup or a plant ... or someone who’s assimilated to “I’m a victim, too!” culture without realizing it.

I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses while they tried to fight it off?

Those drug addicts are collecting Social Security Disability - and getting other perks - I'm tired of that...

Well, I’m 61 and I find his article to be good and true. The difference is that I will be working for good government, working for the candidates whom I support and working to educate those who do not understand what has happened to us.

I will not lay down. Ever.

“I didn’t vote for Bush in 2000”

Great rant! I’m glad to see this formal liberal come around.

Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 63. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter.

the I - Me - My count was 64. While he expresses frustrations we all feel I he falls apart w his line about being glad he won't be around to watch his granddaughter live in a crappy world. If he's just going to give up then get out of the way and let others fight for his granddaughter.

"I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia use our oil money to fund mosques and madrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in America, while no American group is allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia to teach love and tolerance."

No more mosques or madrassas in America until Christian churches can be built in Mecca. Korans not allowed anywhere in America until the Bible is permitted in Saudi Arabia.

This is not descending to their level - it is simply a means of getting their attention. A complete absence of mosques and Korans would be merely an unintended consequence!
